Just finished watching First Half of Villanova v Georgetown. I continue to be impressed with Mikal Bridges. He just produces on both ends of the floor. The sequences near the end of the half...the drive, the backcourt steal and follow-up dunk, the blocked shot...He makes plays and makes his teammates better. There are 5 guys on the court at a time. Teamwork sometimes gets overlooked as we focus on shooting ability, or physical attributes.

I can't make a judgement on Porter. I've never seen him play. Maybe he shows something at the Combine to justify a high pick. If it were me I'd go back to Mizzou for a year and prove myself, then enter the 2019 Draft as the concensus No 1 pick. Too many questions. I want to see how he handles the rigors of an entire season before I burn a high pick on him.

That being said I hope we pick high enough for us to get Mikal. He would fit in well and start on Day #1. I really, really like his game. The poise. The BBIQ. The length. The defensive instincts. Shooting ability. He has the whole package I'm looking for if we don't get lucky enough to draft higher than 8.

Eh, I'm perfectly fine with either of Wendell Carter or Mikal Bridges, if the top 7 goes the way it looks right now. So, I honestly am fine at 8 OR 9, without preference between THOSE spots, just definitively hope we move up from there and into the top 7.

If Carter's there, that'll be fantastic.

Next best guy outside of the top 7 is Carter imo, have to take him if we finish 8th. I also think there's a chance Bagley or Young falls to 8.

I'm still holding out hope we can move up a few spots. The Mavs game hurt but it's not the end of the world.

If Bagley drops to 8, I'd be shocked. Young will be there unless Oklahoma makes it to the tournament and he balls out. I too am hoping that we move up a few spots as well

Knox looks like a guy a team will send to the G League if he enters the draft. I think he needs more time to get some polish to his game.

I'm warming up to Carter. He looks like a big that isn't great at one thing but will fill the stat sheet in everything. I like that he can score with either hand in the paint.

100% agree on Mikal. I'd 100% take Ayton, Porter, Doncic, JJJ, & Bamba over Bridges. After that I flip/flop on Bagley (size, can he play C or defense?), Trae Young (size/D/PG not a need), & Colin Sexton (PG not a need). Wendall Carter could be another name to look at if we end up in the 7-9 range.

Yeah, Mikal will be the safest pick that most likely produces from day 1, but I see him being an Ariza or Deng like player, which isn't bad, but not what you will want for a lotto pick. But if he is the BPA at #7 or #8, it's a no brainer to grab him.

Carter will be a solid big but Knox could be a star. Could even be the best player in this draft when it's all said and done.

If we land him at 8, I won't be upset. He's top 8 in my eyes anyway.

I got a definite feeling that Portis is gonna put up like 26 ppg as a starter for the rest of the season.

First I've heard someone say that.

That’s because it’s absurd.

No offense, NE.

hmm...i may have to take that statement about Knox being a G League level player at the moment. Looking into him more, his floor just may be Oubre Jr's. His numbers have been pretty good for the past month compared to the beginning of the season. I wouldn't bet on him being the best player in the draft though, but I understand the possibility since we don't know how these players can pan out.

I was just saying to myself last night that controversial fight between him and Niko may have been some "big bang" of the sort that turned both into borderline all-stars lol

He had a monster game tonight. So did Bagley. Cream rising to the top as we near the end of the season. I think March Madness is going to be very entertaining this year. I can't say any team is a clear favorite. Villanova looks good. Well balanced. Experienced leadership. Great coach/great system. Michigan State disappointed me today. Their guard play is not quite good enough. Duke has inside/outside playmakers. Lots of really good mid majors that could advance deep. I wish I had some time off work so I could go to NYC and see some of the Big East tournament. That will be a dogfight.

We draft em so young these days, nothing surprises me anymore.

Who knew Giannis would grow to 7' and be a natural born PG. When he was being scouted, he was 6' 8" and scouts called him, as a compliment, the next Nic Batum.

Anthony Davis was so young, his rookie year in the NBA he lost 10 lbs vs his college weight from the NBA schedule. He had to completely change his eating habits & just let his body grow to sustain the 82 game grind.

Both AD & Kawhi learned to shoot jumpers _after_ getting into the NBA.

The only definitive thing we know is that most of what we know is probably wrong.

Knox and Miles Bridges do nothing for me. If we found them available with the Pels pick, I'm perfectly OK with that. But I'd be very disappointed if either wound up our top pick.

True indeed...or you had guys like Okafor, Winslow, and Stanley Johnson who were seen as guys to draft over Devin Booker. No matter the scouting or hype of bigger name players, there is always a guy or two that may turn out just as good or better than the ones getting all the attention. That's why luck plays a big part in the draft no matter who is the GM.

Yeah, Ayton has had two very good games in a row, ever since that report about him getting 100K came out. It's like it lit a fire under him. We'll see if that continues.

And Bagley is back to his old self, with 21/15 and 2 blocks a steal. If he were to fall to us, I would feel very lucky. I'm hoping either he or MPJ do somehow. Or Doncic.

Ayton fired up is a star. 'Normal' Ayton is still damn good.

There's no denying his impact offensively and on the boards. The only people who don't have him top 2 or so are those that think he will be a bad defender, and consider that by far the biggest make or break factor for a C.

I can't necessarily disagree with the sentiment, but I don't think he's a complete liability on that end, and I think the negativity to his archetype is a but overblown.

I've had him #1 all season.
