DeAndre Hunter is back. If ATL is selling…. Though not sure that the Bulls have that kind of ammo…

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

I still think our best bet is in the buyout market. There’s gonna be some players there.

Banking on buyouts doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Your options are too limited and the upside typically isn't high.

I know people dont like the fit but I really like Sabonis. He is a physical rebounder that cleans up the glass pretty well. He would solve our rebounding woes

How are we affording Sabonis?

Who's on the radar?

I saw Torrey Craig mentioned as a possible buyout in Indiana, that’s a guy we would definitely need to reach out to in such a scenario.

There aren't too many guys on "blow it up" teams on expiring deals that I would characterize as buyout candidates that are PF's.

While not a buyout candidate, the guy I'd love to see us get if/when he becomes available from China is Vonleh. Anybody know his situation/timing?

AK I think was the guy that signed Craig to the Nuggets. Awesome find by AK.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sekou_Doumbouya

Why did we never pick up Sekou? He has experience. He seems to get a fair amount of pts per game.
He has size. Rebounding is a bit weak? But how is is defense? at 6 11, he was available.

Would Sekou a former number 15 pick have been a worthwhile pickup?

You know what's really great. Seeing Biyombo putting up solid numbers in just 16mpg for the suns. He's kind of like Rodman from 87-90 with the added addition of shotblocking. Doesn't need to play 30+mpg to be effective.

It’s time for Bulls fans to accept that some random scrap heap 4 isn’t going to do jack squat for our postseason chances.

The Bulls really need Isaac, if he's close to playing. Last night was a prime example why. You need somebody who can handle Giannis and KD one-on-one and not get embarrassed every possession down the court. Throw enough at the Magic and maybe they bite. Pat went to FSU, maybe Coby, maybe a 1st.

On another note, pre-injury Isaac as a small-ball 5 on a team with Lonzo, Caruso and Green would be absolutely filthy on D. Dude used to cover ground faster and get in people's faces better than Mobley. He has the standing reach of a C at over 9' and a 7'2 wingspan, to go with quick feet and a great second jump. If he weren't broken down, he'd be a DPOY-level player year-in and out.

Best thing is, the Magic don't need him any longer. Vax or whatnot, dude already had COVID so maybe the Bulls can get some kind of exemption.

Hell, I'd even ship Vuc out for him to a third team and not think twice, if Isaac is healthy and available.

If you somehow can turn Pat, Coby, Vuc, DJJ, the Portland first, TBJ into Grant AND Isaac, I think the Bulls have a fighting chance against everybody except the Nets, and a puncher's chance if one of the Nets' big three goes down.

It's bad when a guy hyperextends his knee, it's worse when he's wearing big sleeves on both knees when he does it.

I don't think the timetable for finding a PF is moved up dramatically they'll survive a week with Troy Brown jr and Lonzo taking the job but it's likely they need 2 at this point.

I'd like to know if Jordan Bell was a victim of players returning or did he do something they couldn't tolerate that got him gone so quickly. If it's circumstances then he's one guy I'd bring back. Not sure of the Tyler Cook timetable, but if they could find somebody else, I would give it a shot with the three of them with a returning Caruso mixed in and Green when he's healthy. Absolutely best case is Williams returning in late March and working his way into game play by the playoffs.

As discussed at times somebody capable will end up released or on the outs where they are. What would be great would be if a team wanted to do a favor for a veteran as thanks for his time with them and they trade him to the contending Bulls for a swap of SRPs rather than just waive him.

Upon further review::: With all the possible fire sales and potential moves being made to dump salary, it probably opens a few more doors that teams get some veteran, like the Grant, Barnes, Bagley, Batum etc list, plus any Simmons, IND big man deal or Randle trade who then might find somebody they already have on their bench to be expendable and release them

Do you think the front office is having a hard time trying to figure out which kind of power forward they need? Star? Solid/average? Defensive and rebounding?

Yeah why did we even bother to sign Jordan Bell if he wasn't going to be used in a game like last night.
Guy played 2 years with KD. You're telling me he never guarded him in practice or could go out there and take a coupe of fouls and rough him up? Why else is he here then?

I get it, KD is an all time great but make him earn it at the line on a few possessions.

PJ Tucker is 6'5 and he's given KD all he can handle in some big playoff games.
He plays him tight and makes him earn it.

I think we know why MIA went right after him day 1 of FA.
They plan to see Brooklyn in the playoffs and Riley knows you have to make KD work.

He also sucks. Let's stop this idea that these hardship signings will be worth a damn. Typically these players are worthless. Jordan Bell wouldn't have helped guard Durant. He would have gotten lit up.

Options to fix the PF hole

Deandre Hunter come on down and on the Jordan bell front I would have like him because he’s an energy big who can rebound and block shots . Would have been nice to see him get in more but in his only
Bulls showing he got a steal . Not to guard the Durants but another body would help on a team with only two legit bigs . Warriors g league roster was using him like their Draymond he look like he was improving as a player down there especially his playmaking but we will never know now but AK thought enough of him for a 10 day so maybe he gets another call

Return to Chicago Bulls
