A deal of Gibson, Mirotic & Cats pick is an extremely strong offer imo for a dude that potentially wants out.

You clear cap space, bring in a great vet whilst adding to young talents to your squad.

That would be my final offer to Portland. They don't like it, they can shove it whilst watching us battle into our deep in the playoffs whilst they're en route to 33 wins.

at most I would throw another pick (top ten protected in 14) anything after that is blatantly absurd from Portland's pov imo

Under almost no circumstances will I give mirotic s rights or Aldridge. Aldridge is very good but not great. He is the age boozer was when we signed him. Mirotic s potential is just too intriguing to give up for this type of upgrade, when our team as is could compete for a title. For love, sure, for Aldridge, no. And I doubt mirotic will be included in any deal as he had made it known he wants to come to play for the bulls.

Taj, filler, the Charlotte pick and next years first is a very nice offer. I would include any asset we can acquire for deng as well or for the trade exception, but no deal is likely IMHO
We have Martell Webster. He's called Kyle Korver here, and we shall love him and squeeze him and call him Ashton. -BrooklynBulls

bulls cant rape every team. going to have to lose a little to win later

might have to send deng for a young prospect, a bad contract but just make sure they throw in that pick. that pick from a inevitable lottery team, plus bobcat pick, plus taj plus miritoc is a deal i think portland cant say no to

and we dont want it to linger too long. once d12 is off the market those same teams that lost out on d12 will turn they attention to josh smith and lamarcus aldridge. do you want to see gar pax, who have never really been successful in a blockbuster trade go up against gms like the lakers gm or mark cuban who do blockbuster trades in they sleep? we will always lose.

to me aldridge is worth sweetening the deal. not because the like the greatest, but due to the fact a piece like him would be vital to a championship roster we trying to build. might have to give up a bit for it but you do what you gotta do

another deal, toronto is really tired of bargs. do the boozer to raptor deal, take bargs and another contract they trying to rid themselves of, but make sure they throw in that pick. even with boozer and gay they still likely outside the playoffs. its a valuable pick

we cant fall back we gotta be proactive. we not signing nobody of significance in 2014. best way to build is through trades and the draft. we fall back too long 3-4 other teams will be all over aldridge with better packages and other gms who not that dead in love with they players and will part with them without thinking twice about while we telling portland we need a day to think about parting with miritoc of jimmy butler.

The Carlos Boozer we signed was the same age, and put up better numbers than LMA.

Let that sink in.

I feel like comparing Boozer and Aldridge's ppg and ts% doesn't tell the whole story. It's not how many points are scored or even how efficiently those points are scored. It's how they're scored. Boozer needs the ball to be fed to him. Aldridge creates much more, and he gets doubled, so not only can he create more points for himself than Boozer can, he'll also probably open up more room more often for others to shoot or drive than Boozer. The extra two inches of height help too.

I pretty much agree with this.

It all comes down to how bad LMA wants to be a Bull and play with Rose....

Our leverage goes up a ton if he says screw you to every possible trade extension besides Chicago.

Dallas may be the big threat to snatch him up if they fail to land Dwight.....because according to that Portland poster the other night with sources...he'd be willing to settle there where his son is

No doubt that Boozer has the stats to back it up. But I think the level of concern is whom Boozer put those impressive numbers against. When he faces the Pistons, Raptors, T-Wolves, and Cavs, no doubt he does well. But when he faces the elite teams, most of the time he's not there. On the other hand, LMA has put up impressive numbers vs Miami on a consistent basis.

It's not the numbers I'm looking at. It's who you put those numbers against.

How do you know?

BTW, Ralph said in another thread that Bulls are still going after LMA this summer. So it's not over.

The poster was referring to my post and the Clippers getting Aldridge for a package involving D. Jordan.

I know, and I asking how TheSuzerain knows that the rumor is false.

Because Portland isn't run by a buffoon.

This is misleading because Utah P&R system obviously inflated Boozer's stats.

Aldridge is doing this on his own without Deron Williams/Jerry Sloan's system.

He's also much less efficient at it. He also isn't close to the rebounder Boozer was/is.

Say what? We could have a starting line up of Rose, Butler, Deng, Aldridge and Noah? Wow. That would be a line up for Reinsdorf to open up the purse strings for. That would be a line up worth giving up a lot of extra assets for. Wow.

“I still have something to prove when I play in Chicago. I just love to play there,” Aldridge told CSNNW.com in March. “Whenever I go back, I want them to know what they are missing out on. To this day, I still take it personal. I hope they know now which power forward they should have held on to.”

I actually like that. It shows that he has some competitive fire in him, some killer instinct.

You're right, that Boozer scored more, at a higher efficiency, while rebounding better.

How they get their offense is the big difference. And Aldridge is much better defender.

First off, you're still ignoring that 'how they score' part, how Boozer needs to be fed and Aldridge can create for himself.

Second off, only one of those three things is still true. Boozer scored more on higher efficiency the year before he signed here than LMA did this past season, but he scored less on lower efficiency this past season than Aldridge did this past season. Shouldn't we worry more about Boozer's production now and what it's likely to be in the future vs that of Aldridge rather than what Boozer's production was three years ago?
