“I think both days were the same,” Rose said about his play, which has included physical defense and quick moves to the basket. “I think I had one turnover both days. As a point guard, that’s the only thing I’m worrying about right now. Making sure that I’m pressuring the ball full court and making sure turnovers are low. Making sure I’m getting guys the ball when they need it. I think that’s going to help me next year on our team with the Bulls. Being more vocal, talking to the guys, inspiring guys when I’m on the court. I don’t talk as much, but when I talk (I find) guys listen. So I’m starting to pay attention to that and see if I can use that in a way to change the game. Just happy to be here, happy that team USA gave me a chance to be here and show everything. Just trying to be in a groove with my guys, learn my guys so that we can get in a groove and I understand their tendencies when I’m playing with them. Really just trying to live it up.”

I was talking about 2011-2012. We were rolling through the league & getting ready to tear it up in the playoffs, largely due to how Rose was running the offense as a well-rounded hybrid PG.

It's funny how people both bash D Rose for not coming back at a certain per-conceived time, while at the same time discounting the fact that he played some of the best ball of his career despite playing through multiple injuries in the 2011-2012 season.

And I think it's ridiculous to try to draw any conclusions from 6 games in 2012.

Anyways I always rant about this & should just leave it alone. Hopefully we all get the treat of a healthy Rose this season & can just enjoy it together as fans.

You have to think that Rose wants this really bad. Its his first competitive environment with his peers in 2 years. I'd have to imagine he's leading in the effort category solely because of the questions marks he has surrounding him and his eagerness to finally be competing at this level again.

Glad to see the practice accolades are raining down on him. As much as he says he doesn't listen to the media, this has to feel good.

People can't even knock the praise coming towards Rose this time.

It is against "real" competition and coming from respected people in Basketball.

Some thought he had no chance of making the team and now want to say that what really matters is when he has a Bulls uniform on....... we will cross that when it comes. Right now its about how he looks NOW.

It's incredibly hard not to buy into this hype. I'd be lying to myself if I said my expectations were anything but championship or bust.
