Let's not simply offense to just scoring, unless you want to simply defense to just defending too. But when I look at their "weaknesses":

Noah's offense vs. Aldridge's defense, I would think Aldridge's defense is ahead by a considerable gap. Their strengths might be closer to a wash, but I feel Aldridge's offense is good enough to carry teams on a good amount of nights.

Is this about Noah vs. LMA, as in, which would we rather have?

If we have to pick between one, it's a lateral move. Total blue balls. The whole idea is pair the two, thus not trading Noah.

I haven't read all the pages, sorry if I'm out of place here.

He's got 2 years left on his deal. They would be dumb not to trade him. You dont give a team like that equal value when they're dealing with a disgruntled player. You win that trade, not make a fair one. If the Bulls dont do it, someone else with better assets will.

Aldridge isn't being publicly disgruntled. Once you get past that, he's 27 coming off his third straight 20+ PER season. Him being under contract for two more seasons is good enough reason why his value wouldn't be lower. You get his bird rights and he wouldn't be a rental.

It's really not an overpay. Does Noah have more value than Aldridge right now?

Maybe he's not publicly disgruntled, but does that matter? If he made it clear he wants out, Portland regardless is going to have to deal him and would make sense for them to do it now than later.

He would be a rental for a team like Cleveland IMO, who is the Bulls' biggest competition right now.

And yes, Noah does. Its close, but i'd actually rather have Jo than Aldridge. Noah is a proven playoff performer. And again to reiterate, I'm not for making equal value trades for a player who wants out of his current situation. That's like paying full price for something that's on clearance

That was just a fan's suggestion. McGraw wasn't suggesting that as a possibility.

I would not trade Noah for Aldridge straight up. Pairing them is the only thing that should be considered. And everyone should be available besides Rose and Noah.

No chance in hell Morey will trade away Asik and T-Rob and only get back the 20th pick, TPE and more cap space. No chance in hell. He could get that and a whole lot more simply trading Asik to another team.
Why so serious?

I love Noah, but I'd reluctantly do that deal if we are keeping Mirotic and the CHA pick.

Oh ok... Didn't realize this was a fan tweet, but this is intriguing. I would do this deal. Omer can be an energy guy like Noah... Maybe not as talented... But c'mon... Turkish Hammer baby!

Noah on his contract is the best C in the league.

The Bulls FO made the correct move by choosing Noah & Taj over Asik, IMO.

So you think Boozer and Noah is better than Aldridge and Asik?

Noah is better than Asik, while LMA is better than Boozer.

I call that a wash.

I disagree. I think the choice is clear given that Aldridge is the kind of #2 scorer the Bulls have been looking for, while Asik could rebound and protect the rim at an equal or better level than Noah.

You would seriously turn down a #2 scorer because Noah is a slightly better offensive player than Asik?

This isn't true, though we do seem to simply every offensive player to just being good at "scoring" while defensive players have this great amount of depth to their tag.

Noah is a better rebounder, defender, shot blocker and passer.
don't know why people always want to say a person who scores more is a better overall player.

Scoring doesn't mean better overall player. Overall could surely mean having a better impact on a game though. Noah's a better rebounder, passer, defender and shot blocker than Dirk. Would you say that Noah is a better overall player than Dirk?

Both Aldridge and Noah are terrific players. I go back and forth on whether Aldridge could be a legit #2, but he certainly has the skillset and talent to do it. I can't say the same about Noah, who's more so a super-role player. Nothing wrong with that though.

Yeah, unless he was 100% sure Dwight was coming. But I do think both Chicago and Portland say yes to that, as tough as it would be to lose Noah. Maybe a couple more picks thrown to Houston would entice them.

This I can agree with, even though I don't agree with LMA being a better player than Noah. Guess it depends on the situation.

I'm guessing the trade needs to be tweaked some like Portalnd getting another pick and Chicago willing to give up Noah. As far as Houston... Maybe they do this because they have a guarantee of some sort Dwight is going there. Seems likely to me he's not staying in LA.

We can throw in the Bobcats pick to Houston.

If that is the case, we all have to wait till after July 1. It might be announced Draft night in some form but would likely have to wait until the official start of next season.

To be clear, McGraw was re-tweeting someone else. That's not happening at all. I don't think it's even doable salary-wise, with Noah + Rip going out and Asik + LMA coming in.

No way this happens... why would Houston dump Asik like that when they already have money to sign Dwight???? For more cap space? WTF?

Dirk's effect on the game is much different than LMA. you don't key on him and try to game plan around containing LMA. you do on Dirk. he's a true franchise player and one of the best of his era.
of course Noah's not a better player than Dirk, but Aldridge isn't Dirk, nor is he in his class of player.
