i think Deng is better fit than Melo for Houstuon, as for our Melo chances, yesterday i tought we had chance, but today i think money and Melo`s wife would be the reasons why will he stay in! And as for Jimmy i want to keep Jimmy, if we dont find the way to keep Jimmy, i think that could be the difference between championship and not winning!

Been out of the loop for 12 hours or so. Any meaningful updates?

Am I getting this right: one of the main pillars of Houston's pitch to Melo is that they are going to bring in Lebron, yet Lebron won't take any calls in free agency?

No surprise. Their gm is Morey's protégé.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Jazz don't match this right?

How expendable does Waiters become now?
Kris Bryant will go down as the greatest Chicago athlete after MJ

edit 7/30/21: okay maybe not, but it was a fun ride nonetheless

I don't think Melo will end up in Chicago for two reasons. First reason is he does not want to take a major pay cut. Like I said in an earlier post this morning per an inside source that I have , Melo is still about the money (as he should be). Second reason is this per the same source. If the Bulls can get rid of some contracts Carmelo does not want to play on a depleted roster. I am just reporting what I am hearing.

Interesting...jazz have said they will match everything but who knows.

Waiters has to be available if this happens.

I'm honestly surprised he's been MIA from twitter for weeks. He was all over the Lebron stuff back in 2010. Either he's not getting a ton of info, or he is really taking his vacation seriously.

Agreed about Deng. He would a perfect fit in HOU.

As for LaLa we need to be proactive on this. Someone needs to find a way to get to her. We can't have this female spoiling our titles hopes because she like shopping on fifth avenue! :banghead:

Melo couldn't have listened to some low-ball offer over 9 hours from the Bulls. Also even trading Taj and those guys, you'd still have Noah and Rose. You can't really deplete the Bulls.

New York Knicks gutted their roster in Feb 2011 to acquire Carmelo Anthony. Anthony doesn't want that happening again. (Source: Frank Isola)

Has to be the latter. It takes what 10 seconds to type and send a tweet? He must not know anything worth mentioning. However if he does learn something it's likely coming out this weekend before Melo makes his decision Monday

Both of these concerns have already been addressed in the countless Melo threads, he won't have to take a major pay cut, maybe a slight one. After getting rid of the required contracts the team is still easily a title contender. Next concern?
