Interesting, possible starting 5?

They've been mixing and matching the starting groups lineup all 3 days so far, and Derrick has been in that starting group line up 2 out of the 3 days. Whereas PG, Davis and KD have been in the starting line up all 3 days.

It's my guess is that with all the quality guards on the roster, he is trying to find the right fit. Still, I have a feeling that Derrick will be starting once the actual tournament begins.

Yeah it looks like the only locks for the starting lineup are PG, KD, and AD. They're trying to find the right combination between Rose, Curry, Kyrie, Lillard, Harden and Thompson.

For the most part, it looks like they were practicing with Curry at the 2. I think Rose will end up starting at the 1 and it'll come down to Curry or Harden at the 2. The other of Curry/Harden will back up the 2 and Klay would back up the 3.

Figuring out the backup frontcourt is going to be interesting though. Faried, Boogie, Drummond...not a lot of guys there that I'd trust in a close game.

Curry game is made for international basketball. Wall, Rose, Irving and Lillard cannot shoot the ball like he does.

Curry was the best PG last season along with CP3

Was is the key word there. Derrick is back to reclaim his throne.

maybe someone can enlighten me but 99% sure that the human body shuts down at 3% and can't maintain it for more than a few hours

professional body builders don't get below 5% for more than few hours on stage

"He looks better," Indiana Pacers All-Star Paul George said. "He looks better. He looks like he's coming off the MVP year. He's really been aggressive. He's been flying across the court. We've seen him last year in the regular season; it still looked like he was holding back a little bit. It doesn't look like that here."

this comment really resonated with me. PG didnt have to say that, could have left it at he looks real good etc etc.

One thing to consider is the time it "really" takes players to bounce back from an ACL tear. Usually its not for a full season "after" they return do players start to fill like themselves again. Which is where Derrick now is.

The Meniscus tear only takes a few months, and you look at a guy like westbrook and he looked as good as ever a month or two after he got back. Derrick just might finally be healthy.

Rose has been healthy for a long time. That was never the question. It's getting him onto the court.

Sam has been writing some really good articles this week with Rose at USA Camp. Here's his article for today. Great read:

Rose is smiling, too, for the team the Bulls have assembled for the 2014-15 season.

“I think this is the most talented team I’ve played on in my NBA career, to tell you the truth,” Rose said. “With all the players I have, the experience that everybody is bringing to the table, and the way everybody is working out individually in the offseason from what I’ve been hearing. Just seeing Tony Snell bust his (butt) in the gym the whole summer. Seeing Doug [McDermott] come in and doing the same thing. And they end up playing well [in summer league]. It kind of gave me a boost and let me know that hard work pays off. So I’m watching them play summer league games a couple of times, see them playing with a lot of confidence. It just gave me confidence coming to this trial, actually. I think that we have a deep team and we have players that have one goal, and we’ll do anything to get there.’’

Dude's a great teammate & this is by far the best team he's played with in his career. Happy for him. He has a much better chance of accomplishing his and the teams goals.

Rose weighs 209 with 4.5% body fat. For those that like numbers like that.

I believe this is close to his weight in 2012. But man Derrick must look like a greek god on person.

There was an article in 2011 that said his playing weight was 213. Maybe that was wrong.

So I would imagine that the turf toe injury he had or the tendinitis is officially gone? Obviously he had surgery in both his knees, but does that also cure the tendinitis?

He was labeled out 6-8 months after his surgery. How long has he been healthy?

Can you imagine all those missed shots Deng & Bogans took during Rose's MVP year. Now imagine McBuckets and Mirotic taking those shots. :o

I meant to say 4-6 months, but you're right, we have way too many physicians who know it all and we don't need much more of that in this thread. Some of these jokers are buzz kills.

Ahhhh Rose is really back this time. I know it because I have butterflies in my stomach and can't sleep at night. Our unicorn is truly back and he's grown longer wings.
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o
