I thought that Panther WR was going to come down with that ball on 4th and 3 on their second to last drive. We got a break on that one, in that they finally failed to make a spectacular play. Otherwise they were catching everything.

Yeah, that would have been a spectacular catch, and he almost had it.

Eddie Jackson has been robbed twice of two pick 6's this season on two 50/50 calls. I thought it was ridiculous his play got flagged and Robinson's didn't.

I thought both those pick 6s were really obvious penalties and not even remotely close. Both hits were WAY early and the only reason the interception happened. Those were both much more egregious than than the call on Robinson, but I agree that one on Robinson still should have been called, especially compared to the two the Panthers got later on the shoulder to shoulder that they called defenseless player (that was ridiculous) or the one on the one where there was no obvious pass interference or contact and the Bears player made a legit play on the ball and was in just as good position and was turning and looking at it (that was an egregiously bad call to make).

Only thing on this one was the question of whether the pass was tipped. Certainly didn't seem to be obviously tipped, if it was tipped, it was a tip so light it didn't impact the throw and wasn't obvious so I can't blame the refs for missing it.

I'll feel more confident in this team when we establish at least an average running game. We need to get it going at some point at least to close games like this one today.

Rodgers can't stop throwing picks.

Really pulling for TB here.

He seems rattled. Misses a wide open guy, throws the ball away on what could have easily been grounding, and goes out quickly on the next run.

Tampa's got a really freaking good defense.

This game is about to be blown wide open.

That TD by Gronk is a backbreaker, if the Packers don't score in the final minute before half, they start the 2nd half down 3 scores.

Crazy how fast that game turned.

And Tampa gets the ball to start the half.

GB isn't built for a fight. Football is oftentimes a fight and a lot of that is predicated on getting pressure on the QB.

The Bears don't need a great offense, they just need to keep it close early and let the defense wear down the opposing QBs. Quinn, Mack and Hicks are starting to get rolling. Roquan is really looking great, Danny T has gotten better in the running game but needs to get rolling in coverage.

Defense has gotten much better over the past few weeks for sure. Pass rush is now getting dangerous, Bridgewater was heavily pressured all day, and he's a mobile guy. I don't know how good the Carolina line is, but this was the best day by the pass rush I've seen IMO.

Would be great if the offense can make a few more strides, but Foles did an okay job moving the chains most of the day. Its a shame we don't have a better running game.

What's the status on Lamar Miller? I'd really like to see another RB get some touches, to see if there is any difference. When you are a defensive team, if you can't run the ball a bit to control the clock, it's going to catch up to you sooner or later.

I think people care too much about running the clock and not enough about wall clock possession. In terms of wear on an opposing team, its about getting more offensive snaps than your opponent not about holding the ball for more game clock because it runs after a running play and stops after an incompletion.

Running the clock can be valuable at the end of a game, but often teams with good running games still struggle to do that at the end of games once there is a stacked box.

If the Bears can develop a good, consistent, short passing game then that's nearly as good as a running game if it moves the chains, even if it doesn't give you official time of possession.

I know it's early but the Bears move into 1st place and the 2nd overall seed in the NFC. 5-1 and the team just finding ways to win. The defense is so solid that Foles just needs to do enough and not lose games. Be a good game manager.

Seeing the Bucs just destroy the Pack makes me think the Bears might be better than we thought.

What killed me was one the one screen pass to Monty, it looked like he would bust a huge play, but he ran right straight into a linebacker 3 yards short of the first down. I couldn't believe it.

Totally agree. DM has got to be better Foles too. We are a wildcard exit playoff team right now. Need more from the offense. I guess anything can happen in the playoffs.

Nah, when this pass rush gets goin, great QBs look like ****. Look at what happened to GB today. They folded when they got hit with adversity.

Foles is a gamer. This is going to be a fun season.

they dropped a pass in the end zone as well...which may have been their last drive of the half in which they made the mistake of settling for a FG on 4th and goal from the 2. even had they gone for it and failed, it would have sharply reduced the chance that foles would have been able to drive the ball into FG range
