Lonzo Ball Thread (UPDATE: Bulls Offer Sato + 2nd Round picks)

I'm getting dangerously close to wanting the Bulls to throw 25 million at Jarrett Allen and see if Cleveland flinches. His advanced numbers are fantastic, and he's very young. Fits like a glove.

I don't see what makes Allen so much better than, say, Clint Capela, and I sure as hell am not spending 25mil a year on Clint Capela.

I love the move. I’ve been pushing for this all year. It’s exactly what should happen. Ball is an ideal fit in Chicago in virtually every way.

This “wait and just sign him in free agency or lowball the Pels until they capitulate” is nonsense. Just go get your guy. If we aren’t trading Zach, Pat, high end draft assets (or maybe Thad), you just do it. No one else on this roster matters more than Ball.

We are not giving up a lot for a half-season rental. No one else would offer them a player like Lauri and we probably shouldn’t. That’s a joke.

I would offer them Lauri in a heartbeat. If Ball walks so what? I already want to let Lauri walk.

This way you get him in house, kick the tires, and have Zach go to work on him to convince him to stay and build something.

If they might want to unload adams or Bledsoe. Wonder if Otto, Sato, Wendell and a second for Lonzo and Adams would work. They get a useful player in Sato, a young player with potential still and a huge expiring with Sato and a pick.

Instead of getting all complicated about this PG thing, you could just offer Arci and a 2nd for TJ McConnell and probably vastly improve the spot. He's pretty much playing better than Lonzo and Kemba, for that matter.
