Re: Bears 2023 thread V
Of course Bears get a pick on a 4th down and end up losing about 10 yards doing it haha.
Jokes aside, I'm glad he got the pick. Edwards has been so amazing all year he deserves those stats. It's not like they would have gotten into FG territory anyways. The three screen plays they are about to run might have gotten about 3-4 yards total best case scenerio.

Re: Bears 2023 thread V
I missed hte first two drives of second half. But I'm really impressed with our defensive tackling. Sweat's sack, Edmunds drop of Chandler, Edwards drop of Chandler, Terrell Smith on a number of tackles on the outside.
I can't wait to see this defense with a new playcaller next year!!! I salivate thinking about the options. (I'd love to find at defensive coordinator the next DeMeco Ryans like when SF promoted him ... young coach, former hard nosed player ... connects with players because of age and recency playing the game).

These screens are pathetic. Let Fields play.

Re: Bears 2023 thread V
I knowthe Bears are driving. But I can't remmeber the Bears tackling this well, and reading the play. Seems fixing the pash rush a little bit has unlocked something.

Does santos have an underrated leg? I feel like every time he kicks a long FG he clears it

Why I haven't picked Santos up in fantasy football yet I don't know. Our offense is doodoo probably why but they do enough to get Cairo his touches.

This feels like a loss on a busted defensive play TD by the Vikings.

Santos is good. I haven't seen anything to convince me otherwise. He wasn't the double doink guy, was he?

Yeah we'll certainly lose by 2 on the last minute drive and FG by Minnesota.

Re: Bears 2023 thread V
PLEASE KEEP FIELDS and use our 1st pick on Marvin Harris Jr. With a new coach, these playmakers could really excell.
The line looks exciting to me. Jones/Jenkins/Wright ... all very young, all super strong, each showing large improvements throughout season of play (Jones and Jenkins last year, Jenkins again this year, Wright this rookie year); and then a really solid above-average vet in Nate Davis (who is still fairly young too).
Moore/MHJ/Kmet are all guys with good-to-great hands+athleticism+routes. MHJ replacing Mooney will make a big difference because I think Mooney just isn't good enough to force himself open. Roschon Johnson looks like an awesome pass catching back, with the strength to carry 12+ carries every game.
There's a lot of versatility opened up with MHJ added. And it's only exponentially impacted with the subtraction of Getsy.
I like Mooney. I'm not sure what he would cost though. But based on what I've seen so far, Tyler Scott could fill the role Mooney has. If Mooney is going to cost any fair amount, I think that'd be better used towards J Johnson or someone else on defense (maybe a replacement safety for Jackson if he leaves). I like Scott's potential. Some rookie mistakes, but he's run good routes and hands have surprised me. I'd bring back ESB ... and maybe we sign another vet wide receiver for depth with Moore and MHJ.

Hell no. How can we ever forget Cody Parkey letting us down in 2018?

Santos is great but he thing has been that he doesn’t have a strong lef, just crazy accurate. The double doink was Codey Parkey
