CHICAGO -- Chicago Bulls power forward Carlos Boozer suffered a turf toe injury to his right big toe during the second quarter of a 116-89 victory over the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 on Tuesday.

X-rays taken after the game were negative, and he will be re-evaluated by Bulls team doctors on Wednesday.

"I just went up for a shot, the one I made in the second quarter, early in the second quarter, and felt a pop," Boozer said after the game. "I'm just going to get it right. It's a good thing we got some time before the next [series]."

That's probably why he never came back in the 4th.

I knew this was coming. I hope the recovery time on broken confidence isn't too long.

Maybe the hurting foot will distract him from his painful ovaries.

Our team plays better without him. Gibson and Noah are not allowing many points in the paint.

LOL at him being descriptive on which shot it was that he did make. He finished with two points.

Do we have a draw on Carlos Boozer Thread?

I'd love to see what people come up with. 8-)

I completely agree... and I'm assuming that is one of the reasons for tonight's win. This Noah/Boozer frontcourt experiment is not working so well right now.

I know it will never happen, but Taj deserves to start for this team over Boozer. I think some time coming off the bench would be good for him... let him get his head right and watch while someone shows him how to play with this team.

I've also never seen a player push-off (a player in the back) as much as Boozer when he goes for a freaking rebound.

We need Booz but him consistently missing so many chippies against smallish frontcourt players is highly troubling. I agree with the TNT commentators though... he needs a serious slumpbuster game.

Good hell, I really don't miss Boozer as a Jazz fan. No disrespect to the Bulls at all, because Chicago has a great team, and the Jazz pretty much suck. I just don't think Booze contributes much and I never thought he would.

Turf Toe?

More like making excuses for another horrible night. I would hope the Bulls could deal his massive contract to some poor, gullible team out west so I can watch Derick Favors destroy him 4 times a year.

That his "I'm either gonna get away with a foul and get a lay-up or I'll get a foul and get to go on the bench -- either way I'll be happy" move.

It's also known as a "selfish," "dumbass," and "lazy" move.

And yea, it is pretty funny that he pointed out how he got injured on the play where he got his only two points.

So many red flags are up with this guy -- I'm really close to giving up on him.

Is there a single quote from Boozer where he sort of, kind of, at all owns up to his terrible performance? Or was it all the injury or foul trouble from him?

If there is, I'd really like to hear it so I can grasp onto something positive with him.

He had 2 good months and has been a substantial disappointment ever since. Everyone knew he sucked on defense but now he's bad on offense as well.

I still support Boozer. He has been very disappointing lately though.
