Official Mock Draft Thread
kWe have alot of talk about who we would take if they are available. So lets go team for team and see teams needs and who might be looking at who.
Chad Ford's Mock posted on GB:
1. Minnesota: Kyrie Irving
2. Cleveland: Derrick Williams
3. Toronto: Enes Kanter
4. Washington: Jan Vesely
5. Sacramento: Kemba Walker
6. Utah (from New Jersey): Brandon Knight
7. Detroit: Bismack Biyombo
8. Cleveland (from LA Clippers): Jonas Valanciunas
9. Charlotte: Kahwi Leonard
10. Milwaukee: Tristain Thompson
11. Golden State: Terrence Jones
12. Utah: Alex Burks
13. Phoenix: Jimmer Fredette
14. Houston: Jordan Hamilton
15. Indiana: Marcus Morris
16. Philadelphia: Donatas Motiejunas
17. New York: Markieff Morris
18. Washington (from Atlanta): Klay Thompson
19. Charlotte (from New Orleans): Reggie Jackson
20. Minnesota (from Memphis): Nikola Mirotic
21. Portland: Kenneth Faried
22. Denver: Tobias Harris
23. Houston (from Orlando via Phoenix): Darius Morris
24. Oklahoma City: Tyler Honeycutt
25. Boston: Chris Singleton
26. Dallas: Davis Bertans
27. New Jersey (from LA Lakers): Justin Harper
28. Chicago (from Miami): Charles Jenkins
29. San Antonio: Lucan Noguiera
30. Chicago: Bogan Bogdanovic
Personally, I am not into the idea of taking two Rookies on, but if somehow Marshon Brooks and Tyler Smith are available at our picks, I think we take that chance. Also for our Second Round Pick, I would take Jereme Richmond if available.I think he is low risk, high reward player. Alot of star potential in him. If not Jeremy then Demetri McCamey. He has a great shot and knows how to run a team.

This mock draft is garbage, since it doesn't even have the teams in the right place.

Re: Official Mock Draft Thread
That makes alot more sense.
Honeycutt isnt a great shooter, dont know how he would fit on this team. I would hope we take Tyler first. I think he would be a steal for us.
I dont know much about Jenkins.

Re: Official Mock Draft Thread
NBA Draft Guru has us taking two PF's in the first round. I find that hard to believe.
It doesn't make sense to select two players hoping that one sticks. Either way PF is our strongest position right now. We need wings and PGs.

Re: Official Mock Draft Thread
Jenkins is an interesting player and I think could help this team. Combo guard, can play both the 2 and 1 spots. Kind of undersized to play the 2 but he seems to me like a better version of CJ Watson. But I think because we've got CJ, we don't ultimately take Jenkins. I have a feeling if they do wind up keeping both these first round picks, one of them will be used to take someone they can stash over in Europe for a while. That or one of those picks is used on a big so we can entertain moving Taj or Omer in a deal for a veteran SG.

Re: Official Mock Draft Thread
Bognavic IMO would be nice, can really shoot and if we want can keep him overseas for a yr. Jenkins I just love. At 6'3 has the combo guard size who can create n flat out shoot. A lot of experts feel he'll be able to score in the NBA ASAP.
I like Honeycutt for his versatilty. IMO Jenkins is a must and with the other picks, Honeycutt, Harper, Johnson, Tyler and Bognavic all make my list of guys I'd be happy with.

nbadraft.net has us taking Jeremy Tyler and Shelvin Mack. I like Tyler but I don't see Mack being successful at SG in the NBA.
draftexpress.com has us taking Marshon Brooks (who I really like) and Davis Bertans, who's a 6'10" small forward from Latvia. Great shooter according to draftexpress. He'd probably stay overseas at least a couple years (only 18).

Re: Official Mock Draft Thread
Am I nuts to think David Lighty would be an awesome pick for us in the 2nd round? I've seen a number of sources not even pick him to be drafted. Big physical swingman with a nice perimeter game. I know he's not gonna be the guy that puts the Bulls over the hump or anything but he just seems like the type of glue guy that'll stick in the league for a long time. Kinda like Battier.

Draftexpress has my ideal draft. Brooks and Bertans in the first round would be ideal. Swap out Jimmy Butler for Nolan Smith in the 2nd round, and it's just gravy. That would be an amazing draft night for us.

I'd love to draft Diante Garrett in the second round. You don't see very many 6'5" natural PG's with his play making abiliity. He's been impressing scouts in almost every workout he's been in so far.

Its not many quality Sg in the draft, so IDK how Brooks would fall to us. Im big on tyler tho.
As far as a project to stash overseas if we keep both picks, I would love the idea.
I would want to keep the 2nd rounder. I there are alot of gems we can grab. Richmond is my dream since he can play SG, is so young and we can stash him and bring him along slow until he is ready.

Ford is high if he thinks the Bulls would pass on Brooks at 28. Oh well, this stuff will change like crazy over the next month.

The first one is old. In his newest one he has Brooks going 19. I'm wondering if the Bulls feel they have enough to trade up for Brooks.
My feeling is we want Brooks if we move up and if we stay at 28, Jenkins is our guy.

My only issue with trading up is what pieces would we give to move up for that wouldnt hurt us if we tried to make a move for Iggy or someone?
And I am not trading the Charlotte Pick for anyone in this trade. Thats really our only real trade bait right now outside of the expirings.
