NBA Rumor Page

Post#1 » by Ralphb07 » Thu Jun 16, 2011 5:45 pm

Let's keep this thread on point. I'll update the original post with updates so it's easier to see everything so make sure to read this post at all times.

Per Chad Ford:

Not sure that picks 28 & 30 help them win a championship next year. They'd really like a shooter at the two, not sure there's a good enough one left ... though they've had interest in Hofstra's Charles Jenkins. Would've be surprised to see them move the pick for a younger veteran that could help.

For the bold part, I think he meant to type wouldn't be not would've

http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/chat/_/id/38910

There are still rumors out there that the Chicago Bulls are going to try and trade into the first 12 picks in order to secure a shooting guard, especially because it looks like the two best ones will be gone quite quickly.

Ralph's Rumors:

-Rockets offer Bulls Lee, Hill and Future 1st for Asik, Korver , 28 and 30 (Bulls thinking is Lee, Chase, Hill, Future 1st for Asik, Korver, Lucas and 30)

-Kings offer #7 for Asik (Via our good friend JOHN)

-Bulls talking to teams in 8-15 range of draft

-Bulls offer Nets Watson, 28 and 30 for Morrow and 27

-Bulls offer Thunder Watson, 28 and 30 for Nate Robinson and 24

-Bulls and Pistons talk Boozer: No details as of yet

-Bulls and Wizards talk Boozer: No details as of yet

Thanks!

Doug just mentioned in the other thread and his great blog that Gordon was available.

Just curious, don't want him, but are they reasonably happy with CV I wonder?

Would you do a Boozer and CJ swap for Ben and Charlie V? I am thinking Detroit wouldn't mind getting rid of the two overpriced underachieving players.

As long as we wouldn't have to give up Boozer or something stupid I'll take BG back. It'd be great if we could get that #8 pick back in return even if it meant giving up our Charlotte pick.

That's a horrible trade idea.

No I wouldn't do that at all, unless another deal was lined up. If they included the #8 pick to take on those two salaries (Boozer has a big contract but is productive compared to the Detroit duo), maybe, but probably want to have something else lined up.

I think CV and Deng were high school teammates...probably a pretty good team. :) CV also hit like 38% of his 3's last year, good for a 3/4.

I know you guys are also very interested in Marshon Brooks (who, just like Jimmer and Klay...have been rocketing up Draft Boards), here's some latest news from our Knicks Board Stickied Draft Thread:

Oh? RT @TheHoopsReport: Good job. RT @Mac_Diego so sounds like Brooks canceled the Utah workout after getting a call back from the Knicks?

Looks like the rumored Indy deal might be true?

Gordon has been rumored as being available since mid-last season.

the problem was that no other team had any interest in him so there were no rumors. There still are no rumors due to Ben's salary.

Detroit would LOVE - simply LOVE getting Boozer. they would probably give us anything we asked. The problem is that the Bulls seem to have no interest at all in trading Boozer. Worse, even if Bulls were open to dealing Booz, they are not going to deal him to a team in our own conference.

But Boozer is not necessary. Detroit will dump BG for anything. BG can probably obtained for Korver and rubbish - but it is the Bulls that apparently dont want to deal for BG.

So Chad confirms that the Bulls do like Jenkins which I said about two weeks ago. Also I would post my stuff in here but I will wait until I gather all the information first. I'm not going to give dribs and drabs and will put it in the original post to make it easier to find.

I know people don't buy it but I am convinced JR is done with Ben Gordon and would never try to get him back.

I've heard the opposite and by two individual people in regards to Boozer. They have talked to teams and would deal him but they want a player with the same impact in return.

I feel the same way.

BG was critical of the Bulls & JR when he left for Detroit.

JR will almost certainly slam the door on him. He'll let him rot in DEtroit before he takes him on.

But hey, the BG fans dont want to hear this........

Have you heard of any trade proposals involving Boozer?

Any idea on what direction the Bulls might go?

Yep not sure who they expect to get though, the league is not exactly loaded with people as productive as Boozer.

Edit - I'm assuming that limits them basically to SG and PF which further limits the pool. In theory I guess C if they feel Noah can start and play at PF.

I wonder if the Bulls have talked to the Lakers? If Pau is unhappy....Boozer and CJ for Pau maybe??
