do we have enough to trade for him? he would be a great backcourt sidekick to Rose.

Are you his agent or something? give me a link or give me death!

edit:

The Kings will evaluate trade proposals for Tyreke Evans this summer, according to a report.

Evans has spent heavy minutes at small forward and has struggled to adjust to playing off the ball.

"I don't think it's any big secret," Princeton legend and longtime Kings consultant Pete Carril said. "Tyreke's got to learn to play without the ball. It's all there. I see some games, and he looks very good. Other games … he just has to work harder. I'd love to see him develop a mid-range game."

Evans, who is shooting 44.2 percent from the floor, recently voiced his concerns over the way the Kings have handled his this season.

he could be an interesting option. Im not sure what it would cost but if he came here and learned from Derrick (ala Pippen to Jordan) he could become a much improved player. He has the talent.

No. They will want a lot for him and he is a terrible fit with Rose.

Why doesnt Sacramento want him?

he is definitely the additional ball handler everyone on here has been clamoring for. But he is a poor 3 point shooter and (per the report) is having trouble playing off the ball.

But he is still very young and hasnt exactly been in a winning environment over there in Sac town.

I think Derrick trained with him in the summer as well.

I'd take him for the right price.

Wasn't he playing the 3 with the Kings this season? This guy has been moved all around, no wonder he's been struggling some. Most people on here will be against going after him but I think it would be a good choice to look at players like him, Marcus Thornton, Wesley Matthews etc. I don't think there is any realistic chance to get Evans though.

Oh God, I forgot how much Salmons was making. Haha. That's probably true. Tyreke's 4 mill/year contract makes it difficult to make a deal unless you include Salmons.... Well hey! If they want to trade Brewer for Evans I'd be all for it ;)

Agree.

But what is the right price? What does Sacramento hope to get?

They're not going to get comparable young talent at this point.

He's definitely not PG or SF, and they broke Marcus Thornton off with a big contract.

I'd do something like Brewer and a draft pick, but that wouldn't even get Sacto on the phone.

he is an awful 3 point shooter, a ball hog, and has regressed since his rookie season

the bulls can do better

He was a 20/5/5 player before the team got dysfunctional so it's going to take a **** load to get him. We probably don't have the pieces.

Thornton got a 4 year $33 million extension.

he was a 20/5/5 player when he was given the reigns to hog the ball and take as many shots as he wanted. When DeMarcus Cousins (i.e., a better player) arrived, he wasn't capable of sharing the ball and his production dropped considerably.

There's a reason he hasn't gotten better since his rookie season

I feel like our team infrastructure would help Tyreke a lot. Per 36 minutes, Rip Hamilton actually takes more shots than he does (although his usage is higher because of turnovers and drawing fouls). He'd get his shots in Chicago, but they would come in a different context. Plus he would still have opportunities to dominate the ball. We've been clamoring for a guy with the capability to do that at times.

Acquiring Tyreke would be a gamble, but such is life in the Game of Thrones.

I know, I was just under the assumption they may look to move him as well with the right offers. Neither him or Tyreke seem to fit well with the team as constructed.

Edit: Actually it looks like he started to play better at the end of this season. Maybe I am wrong with that assumption.

Wasn't there some talk a while ago about what a bad locker room guy Tyreke is? How he's immature and undisciplined and a trouble maker?

Doesn't sound like a guy the Bulls would be interested in.

Marcus Thornton is the Kings guard that you want. Will be way cheaper in terms of trade assets sent out and salary paid, and a great fit with Rose in the backcourt.

Wow, can't think of a worse fit next to Rose and I'm basing this on his 20-5-5 season.

No Thank you. T. Evans will cost more than he's worth and does no play team ball, I really hate his game.
