Is moving back to Naperville?

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.
NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

This makes Pat happy.

As someone who went to school with her, I could not be more excited about this. I am buying my daughter a Candace Parker Chicago Sky jersey as soon as it becomes available. She will absolutely bring local fans to the WNBA. This is huge for the Sky.

Awww Chicago, where all the stars come when they're over the hill and looking for that last deal. She'll continue the fine legacy of Pippen and Wade's last check.

The white Sox do that a lot too. Ken Griffey jr, Andruw Jones, Manny Ramirez, list goes on. We as a city never get the mega superstars in their primes. I have almost no doubt that Anthony Davis will eventually make his way to the Bulls in that same fashion.
But the Sky is so irrelevant , this will actually help their brand considerably.

Just like Wade, getting her past her prime. Nice story for the Sky though and nice for Parker to end her career in Chicago.

If only they really wanted to bring a title to Chicago, like Bron did to Clevland. These guys just want their final hurah, check and jersey they dreamed of as a kid.

Now if the Bulls can eat Dwight Howard, Parker and Howard can rekindle their “Prom”.
Obviously her bother Anthony was also a Naperville basketball star too (although a marginal NBA player). The other Toni Parker (the one we know and love), his brothers grew up in Lisle. That area is really good for basketball players named Parker.

If the Bulls are good at that point I 100% see AD doing a Robert Parish with the Bulls. Hell even if they are bad. I think he wants to wear the Jersey once in his career.

My first thought was, yeah a dozen years too late. My second more cynical thought was, the league wants to boost it's profile so send a big name home to Chicago and hope they can win a championship and get a lot of attention.

Re: Candace Parker signing with Sky
Very glad for Parker getting to play our her HOF career in Chicago. I don't follow the WNBA as much as I'd like to, but I've always rooted for her.
Similar to greenwing upthread, one of my cousins played against Parker's Naperville school, and I know she and her daughters are likely thrilled to see Parker finally in a Sky uniform.
As an aside, I was no athlete, but I was the captain of my damn Math Team alright, and Naperville North were behemoths. Hated them, even at my nerd peak, I couldn't score higher than their ubernerds, and our team were pretty dam good. Effin' Naperville

Re: Official Chicago Sky Thread - Sky in WBNA finals (pg 19)
Parker had a great game, just looked at the stat sheet. Honestly I didn’t even know how they were doing, last I saw I knew they got into the playoffs, but now I am absolutely going to watch the finals. Surely isn’t a bad omen having winning basketball in this town. For Parker it would be awesome for her to have a hometown ring, and obviously the rest of the team too. Although it ended like the worst car crash ever, I am sure Wade would have liked to win a ring here too.
