No matter.
I want McDermott/Anderson/Stauskas with pick 16, and LaVine, Hood, Young, with 19. My first preference would be to trade up, however, for Vonleh, if we're not trading for Melo.

I do not know much about Vonleh, but whom do you project him to be? A future starter? Will he drop far enough for us to potentially get?
McDermott's questionable athletic ability scares me, but the guy can shoot, has a quick release, is crafty, and has size. I would be very pleased getting him. I'd also be thrilled with Stauskas, Hood, or Young. Lavine's lack of size wants me to avoid him for now.

He's got major upside, and getting him while he's young could help Thibs mold his potential into a disciplined but dynamic player.

1. 76ers - SG Andrew Wiggins / Kansas (Tmac --- a few great years amongst many meh ones)
2. Celtics - SF Jabari Parker / Duke (pierce)
3. Bucks - PF Julius Randle / Kentucky (Zach Randolph minus 18ftr plus athletic)
4. Jazz - C Joel Embiid / Kansas (bust - taller Ekpe udoh)
5. Magic - PF Noah Vonleh / Indiana (wild card - right tutor then Tristan Thompson minus shot blocking plus midrange)
6. Lakers - PG Dante Exum / Australia (Shaun Livingston with a 3pt shot, fringe all star)
7. Kings - PG Tyler Ennis / Syracuse (ceiling Mike Conley, commit to D first, bad shot selection worries)
8. Pistons - PG Zach LaVine / UCLA (wild card, could be super star, could be bust)
9. Cavs - SF Dario Saric / Croatia (hedo turkulugu ceiling, needs to be team first guy)
10. 76ers - PF Adriene Payne / Michigan State (solid 4/5 backup for many years)
11. Nuggets - SG Marcus Smart / Oklahoma State (will score just fine, how efficient?)
12. Magic - SG Nik Stauskas / Michigan (Kyle Korver more athletic, needs strength)
13. Wolves - PF Aaron Gordon / Arizona (bust, highlight reel bust)
14. Suns - SG Gary Harris / Michigan State (crafty, 10 year contributor as 12-15ppg SG)

Graden, I respectfully, but strongly disagree with you. Very strongly. Just by looking at it.
Embiid will not drop past the Bucks if they get the third pick. They have Ersan on a reasonably big contract for the 4 spot and Giannis longterm as the 3/4 hybrid. They haven't had a C in forever. At worst, he'll be Bogut, but I'm leaning more towards Dalembert with great scoring ability in year 3.
Young, Hood, McDermott, Anderson are dropping way too low. Stauskas, LaVine way too high. Semaj and Kendall also are not 1st round picks.
I do agree where you have Vonleh projected. I actually think he will be taken ahead of Randle.

The beauty of having 2 picks, assuming the Bulls use both, is that they can draft one project and one NBA-ready guy. As to Lavine specifically, I just don't see him being on the board for Chicago.

Posted to keep Graden's mock around for discussion.
Also, nitetrain, I agree with you about Embiid. If his back is okay, I can't see him dropping out of the top 3. But as to Milwaukee specifically, they do have a center. Its Larry Sanders, and they just signed him to a 4 year, $44 million deal that doesn't even kick in until next season. Not that I think that would absolutely prohibit the Bucks from taking Embiid, but its a consideration. They might view Randle as a better fit.
