That Marquis Teague was pretty great since we'd picked up his option.

I really like this trade. It fills our offensive void at shooting guard and switches Butler to his natural position at small forward. That is a very solid team. I don't know what it looks like financially, but I would even go a step further and see if we can afford Jermaine O'Neal to back up Noah.

Eric Gordon may be a good stop gap for us. I like the fact he only has 2 years left on his deal. I assume we will get neither Love or Melo this offseason. I think we would work out a reasonable deal three team deal to get him that includes the Lakers, assuming they don't get Melo.

Lakers get: Boozer and 2015 first round pick
Lakers out: S/T Gasol at 9 mil

Pelicans get: Dunleavy, unguaranteeds, and 2016 2nd rd pick
Pelicans out: Eric Gordon

Bulls get: Gasol and Gordon
Bulls out: Boozer, Dunleavy, 2015 first rd pick, and 2016 second rd pick

Bulls salary out: 24 mil
Bulls salary in: about 24 mil

Lakers do this as way to get something in return for Gasol. Also gives them more assets in potential deal for Love. Also helps them to build a solid roster behind Love next season if they sign him outright.

Pelicans do this because it clears the salary necessary to take on Asik's 8 mil cap hit and leaves them at about 7 mil in cap space. Their may have to be more incentive added in for them. I believe they have to make a deal in order to get Asik since they were sending out no salary.

Leaves Bulls with:
Rose/FA
Gordon/Butler/Snell
Butler/McDermott
Gasol/Gibson/Mirotic(MLE)
Noah/Gasol

If we don't get Melo, I wonder if there's a way we can grab Waiters from Cleveland as they position themselves to make a move for LeBron?

Dunleavey, Snell, James & Amundson for Waiters
Resign Hinrich
Sign Mirotic

BULLS:
Rose | Hinrich
Waiters | Brewer
Butler | McDermott
Gibson | Mirotic
Noah | Smith

CAVS:
Irving | Dellavedova
Wiggins | Snell
James | Dunleavey
Thompson | Bennett
Varejao | Amundson

Just trying to figure out the best way to acquire offensive talent if we strike out on the big name free agents.

BORN READY!! BORN READY!!

I have a sneaking suspicion Melo is jerking us around.

Sign Lance. Give him the max...at his age he'll still be worth something at the end.

Bring over Mrotic...by the time the All-Star game comes, we will be a force to reckon with.

Swallowing opposing offenses whole like Jonah.

If Houston needs more cap space, I would trade non guaranteed contracts for Donatas Motiejunas. Also could we swap garbage with Portland, Anthony Randolph for Meyers Leonard?

If LBJ goes to Cleveland and they make a push to get K.Love, I would like to see us get involved with Cleveland to try and get Dion Waiters with some of our space.

The Bulls should trade for Kobe.

Bulls need scoring. Kobe can, and, he idolizes Jordan. He's battling late stage career injuries, and, so is Derrick Rose. If both are healthy, PG and SG are covered.

If one or the other is healthy, we have not only a key scorer, but, McDermott as the decoy/alternative scorer.
if neither is healthy, McDermott is the scorer.

With a 2-year contract, Kobe would also be a virtual expiring deal.

The question is, "What would the Bulls have to pay?"
