Re: The Bulls (27-14) are officially halfway through the season
54 wins, ey. I had us in the 57-60 range that we did in that poll prior to the season. Not far off.
That said, we're the 12th best offense and the 13th best defense prior to this Celtics game. The majority of our metrics suggest we're an above average team, and to be fair, our record suggests this as well.
Fortunately, we have upside. Unfortunately, we have serious questions as to why the upside may not be fulfilled, which mainly are based around Rose and his form, and the health of Noah.
Let's us pray to Lord Jordan that all goes accordingly to plan in the 2nd half of the season.
Positives
- Derrick Rose has played 30 games. The talk about him is no longer injuries, but form.
- The emergence of Jimmy Butler.
- Pau Gasol being a steal at 7m.
- Niko Mirotic justifying why the FO was so high on him.
- Aaron Brooks adds to the list of bargain based PG finds.
- Dunleavy is a value contract and keeps delivering, albeit without much fanfare at times.
- Thibs trying things we haven't seen before
- We can now consistently score 100 a game, if not more
Negatives
- Derrick Rose has had some absolute stinkers.
- Joakim Noah is, and looks to be hurt all season. Playing terribly.
- Hinrich is all but done, save a good game every 6-7 outings.
- Thibs reverting back to old ways at times, trust issues.
- Defense is average right now. Not like the Bulls we've come to expect.
- We have a hole on the wing.
- McDermott has shown little and has missed a lot of games. The forgotten man.

To be able to see/say Rose Just have a 29 point game with 11 assist mid way through the season is enough to make me happy a long with our 24-17 record
