Prince is about to get bought out. Any other decent depth wings we can bring in without giving up an asset?

A guy I like and I think can be had  is CJ Mccolum. Quick glance people may say no but he is a legit shooting guard who can shoot. He's at 41% from three and can even score a bit. He also fits long term for us. Snell, Nazr and a pick might just do it.

Another guy is Kyle Singler. Both these guys are better than Kirk, but would Thibs play them over Kirk.

I don't remember the poster's name who said it, but Wesley freaking Johnson. I'm convinced he's one of the missing pieces. Wes doesn't score a lot but his game is vastly underrated because of that fact.

Gerald Green would be a good addition but Phoenix would probably want a first

None of these will help. Denver has two players who could help us and they are available for basically nothing, but the FO is sleeping.

Tayshaun Prince is available? Does he have a pulse? Without having a clue how he's been playing for a while, I'd say that his general mold is exactly what the Bulls need.

Agreed. Would be surprised if Bulls don't check with him if / when the buyout becomes official.

Wilson Chandler is one of the best wings we can have.
Athletic, Tall, Can Shoot, and with quick feet for help defense.

Why are people mentioning guys like Green, Lamb, Chandler, Johnson and Ellington?

These guys are on rosters and would require a trade. The scrap heap, as per my interpretation, are those available for free agents, be it from the D League, bought out guys etc.

Wes Johnson and Ellington may only cost a 2nd rd pick which isn't much to give up at all.

The last washed Piston we had didn't go over so well. I'd still be on board with a Prince pickup though since it wouldn't cost any assets.

I'd like to aim a bit higher, but a Prince acquisition doesn't necessarily get in the way of that. In all honesty, that may be a perfect guy to bring in to try to salvage Tony Snell.

I have always liked Jeremy Lamb, but the Nets were rumored to be shopping Brook Lopez for Kendrick Perkins' contract and Lamb, and then the Nets pulled out, so I guessed (perhaps wrongly) that OKC pulled Lamb from the deal. They might want more than just scraps for him.

As for CJ McCollum, I don't buy that we'd be looking at him (although I've heard things to that effect). He's a 6'3" combo guard, and that's just not what we need right now. I liked him a lot when he was drafted, but things have changed on our team composition and team needs since then.

This same old song brings a tear to my eye. Chicago has a shot at a championship, missing a good wing(SG), has an abundance of bigs that we won't dare move, have other trade assets including picks and signed someone from the junk pile, looks like Chicago will once again get that missing piece from someone else's junk pile. Why sure up the only sure hole on the roster with assets or one of your bigs.

The way this franchise is run, had MJ not fallen into their lap this franchise would have never seen a finals game. They just refuse to go for it unless it's nearly guaranteed to work which also makes the chances of a championship smaller.

I prefer a trade. I think an Afflalo/Chandler will make a much deeper impact than a Prince or Francisco Garcia. And to be fair, there is nothing preventing us from doing both. We'd have to fill out the roster in a 2 or 3 for 1 deal anyway.

This team is trying to compete for a title with legitimate threats like atl Washington and If cleveland turns it around they are also a legit threat. Even if we get better nothing can indicate to us we are run away favorites.

So searching through the nba bargain bin this season will not be good enough. Wilson chandler , Aaron afflalo are the kind of additions it will take to secure our spot in the finals. Not guys barely in the league as it is.

Ralph says they can only be got with trading a big, I think as the trade deadline approaches if we add a late 1st rd pick one of them can be got. Or maybe even add mcdermott. We trying to win it now, all the developmental projects need to take a back seat.

I would be good with tayshun prince but not as a starter but off the bench. I can see him come here if we make a deal to show we really about winning more than financial flexibility or preserving some future assets which could turn out to nothing. We held on for years to that bobcat pick and it turned into doug mcdermott, someone who ceiling might be jj Reddick and we could have picked up another vet who knock 3s down and got the same production as we getting from doug now and in the near future. So basically we ain't get much from that bobcat pick, a pick we could have packaged with a player or 2 and gotten a very valuable asset who helps us win now. These are the mistakes our front office continues to make and need to be corrected if we really want to be contenders

Melo is stupid for not joining us, but maybe , just maybe melo decided against us because he saw a organization with a front office who had a history of not doing what it takes to improve a roster and be a legit title contender. The thought had to be in his head, if rose goes down again, what will garpax who don't make major moves do, to surround me with help so I can still compete. And the answer had to be, they will do nothing. That is a reality whether we like it or not.
