Predictions for the next 8 games (1/19- 2/4)

Post#1 » by Droseisthe1 » Sun Jan 18, 2015 4:49 pm

we are hitting an 8 game stretch, probably the most difficult since the circus trip as 7 of the 8 are against current playoff teams, 6 of the 8 are against Western Conference teams, and, much to our dismay, only 6 of those 8 are on the ROAD! I wish all 8 were!

Anyways, I think this stretch is going to be a key indicator to see what kinds of things this Bulls team is really capable of. Hopefully Dunleavy returns at some point during this stretch. The schedule is as follows:

1/19 @ Cleveland (James is back and they're looking good. Most likely no Love)
1/22 vs. Spurs (Kawhi is back so they're back to championship contention)
1/23 @ Dallas (We can't handle shooting bigs and they have....Dirk)
1/25 vs. Heat (ABC Sunday Matinee!)
1/27 @ Golden State (Lord have mercy)
1/29 @ LA Lakers (Pau's return, who knows if Kobe will play)
1/30 @ Phoenix (Holding on to that 8th spot in the West for now)
2/4 @ Houston (They'll have revenge on their minds from when we beat them at home)

With all that said, I'm predicting the Bulls to go 6-2 on this trip. I hope to not see the lackluster starts and that they come out to play. The past 3 games Derrick has played has got me excited to see what he can do on this.

Here's to surviving this stretch and seeing you guys on the other side!!!
Kris Bryant will go down as the greatest Chicago athlete after MJ

No word yet about when dunleavy is coming back?... this team needs shooting, and Mirotic has been really bad in january and plus don't think taj is performing lately either.

Anyways my guess is 4-4, lakers and heat should be automatics and outta the other 6... bulls are winning at least 2, my guess is Cleveland and Dallas or Phoenix

In January, we're currenly 5-5 and playing .500 ball. I don't see what is going to happen in the coming weeks that suggests we're going to go better than .500 against these very good teams when we couldn't even beat teams like the Magic and Jazz.

It could get rough, with the Bulls fighting to stay as a 4th seed, let alone looking to move up to 2nd.

I see us going 4-4. Wins against the Cavs, Heat, Lakers, and either Suns or Rockets.

But this team is hard to predict. I don't know if our defense will improve, that's really the only way we will become elite again.

Questions about Rose's play these past 3 games? Are they just simply a product of him making 3's this time around? How sustainable is that really?

I picked 3-5 but I really do not know which 3 games we can win at this time. Hell, maybe they will turn back to the good and win them all.

Right now I guess we can beat Cavs, Heat, and Lakers.

1/19 @ Cleveland LOSS
1/22 vs. Spurs LOSS
1/23 @ Dallas LOSS
1/25 vs. Heat WIN
1/27 @ Golden State LOSS
1/29 @ LA Lakers WIN
1/30 @ Phoenix LOSS
2/4 @ Houston LOSS

Yikes. It kills me to say it but I don't see us going better than 2-6. I don't think people realize how poor our defense is right now. It's difficult to compete unless we're scoring 110+ points per game.

Coach with reckless and psychotic substitution patterns? Check.
One of the league's worst defenses? Check.
Sloppy play with multiple players constantly turning the ball over? Check.

Which of the above teams will we drop 110+ points on?

We tend to be a little more focused on the road, so I'll say 4-4

I think it is. The Bulls look like a lazy team bombing 3's that only win when they're falling.

Prediction: 2 win, 6 losses

I really don't want to watch the warriors game. The way the d has been could make that game worse to watch than the last jazz game. Here's to hoping for 5-3 or better!

This stretch is tough. I'm foreseeing a bad 1-7, which will cause things to stir in the media.
