GT 1/25 Bulls vs. Heat 12pm CT ABC: The Luol Deng Bowl

This will be our 4th straight nationally televised game and the kick-off to the ABC Sunday double-headers now that the NFL is ending.

The Bulls are riding a nice 2 game winning streak, beating two formidable Western Conference teams. Can we sustain this play heading into the All-Star break? I hope the crowd pays their respects to Bulls all-timer Luol Deng. It's time to defend the home court and as always, BEAT THE HEAT!!

Starting for the visiting Miami Heat:

PG- Mario Chalmers

SG- Dwyane "Flopmaster" Wade

SF- Luol Deng!!

PF- Chris Bosh

C- Chris "Birdman" Andersen

And......now........the starting lineup for your..........CHICAGO BULLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Point Guard- Derrick Rose

Shooting Guard- Jimmy Butler

Small Forward (I'm to assume)- Tony Snell (Couldn't find one with him and Lu so here's a throwback flush!)

Center- Joakim Noah

I'm worried about this game mainly because is the 3rd in 4 days and it's a matinee, hope our guys have some left on the tank

Do they still have the HEAT INDEX on ESPN? I don't see that anymore or is it hidden. I guess they should have just called it "Lebron Index". Deng must be doing well considering his role is probably reduced in Miami.

Luol should receive a standing ovation in his first game back at the UC as an opponent.

Miami isn't that good. But its a early start time and its at home. Those two things don't add up great so far. Expect a closer game as always with rival teams.

Heat - 86

Heat offense is entirely dependent on FTA (they are 25th in turnover rate, 28th in offensive rebound rate, last in pace, 22nd in 3PA/game) and the Bulls defense is EXCEPTIONAL at keeping people off the line (#5 in the league at keeping people off the line).

Sometimes you see a matchup and you say to yourself that you can see how they could give Chicago trouble (ala the Magic with a scoring C and a two guard who Jimmy struggles to stay in front off). I simply don't see that with the Heat; they better shoot like 50%+ from three or they won't be in this.

PER of 26.1, per 36 of 17-13-5 on .684% shooting. But sprained ankle kept him out Friday night so he might not go.

Deng's doing OK, he's about what you'd expect out of him, solid, always A+ effort, sometimes turns invisible on offense, which is fine when Wade/Bosh are both in the lineup but if 1 is missing becomes a problem.

I'm hoping Whiteside plays as it would be a good test to go against your guys frontcourt, at this point this season for Miami is purely about a respectable showing in the first round (if we make the playoffs) and developing Whiteside who looks like he has true potential.

He has been an absolute steal. Lock him up if not already done so.

Seems like Whiteside is more mature now from what I'm reading. Hopefully Tyrus can follow a similar path. He was always one of my favs to root for.
