Who do you want to see go first?

Post#1 » by samwana » Fri Jan 30, 2015 11:38 pm

We are talking a lot about who needs to go, I just would like to know how the majority of us thinks about who needs to take the hat and go.

I want to see Gar go first, I don't trust him one bit and since he can't get any big FA to sign here I think he needs to go first.

GarPax for sure - those two would be scouting basketball in Somalia right now had they not lucked into Derrick Rose. Thibs wins, in a variety of degrees, with whoever you give him. I take Thibs all day, everyday.

The Reinsdorf group is the root of all our problems. Just pray that Obama gets a group together to buy the Bulls after his presidency is over.

No one.

We're not winning anything without some semblance of stability.

Be professionals and work it out. Both the FO and Coach are as stubborn as each other.

Thibs has proven to be an excellent coach over the years. GarPax has proven capable of sustained success even throughout the injuries to our superstar. We are well set up for the future in my opinion, with Jimmy playing at an all-star level and Niko looking promising in the long term. Give this roster a couple of years and if they don't end up contending, we should be able to hit the reset button and build around Jimmy and Niko while remaining competitive in the East. Not really looking forward too seeing Thibs or GarPax go.

Thibs. It used to be GarPax but they keep finding diamonds in the rough. Thibs is a good coach, but I do not think he has ever gotten the most out of his roster.
I'm not here to argue.

Depends on how the playoffs play out but it'll probably be Thibs... Does Thibs keep his job even if the Bulls magically make it to the Finals and lose?

The Bulls have one of the better regular season teams of the last five years under Thibs. The last time he had a healthy superstar we went to the ECFs.

We need an asst coach that can keep a pulse on the team and monitor minutes. Keep morale high and act as a liaison between players an Thibs. If ron Adams is that guy.... Fire whoever blocks it.

I also think rose has to take backseat to butler until rose starts turning the ball over less . If his ego can't take it.... Shop him.

We have a lot of good here

The ideal option would be build on the good we do have

The problem is the front office seems to move conservatively as it comes to building this team. For instance instead of adding quality guards and all star talent in the wings they decide to go with vet min players and youngsters who need development.

If we had the quality wings along with Jimmy and rose we run away with the east. Now our hopes hanging on Mike dunleavy return lol

So my vote is for gar and pax.

I easily go with Gar, honestly can't tell what the guy really does for the team. We were great at drafting and bad at trades before he got here and honestly I can't figure out what the hell changed since he got here or even where his job ends and Pax's begins. The Adams stuff, the Thibs stuff, him trying to build some kind of good ol boy network with coaches he's happened to have professional experience in the past with (like the best HC candidate in the world just happened to work with the guy at his last freaking job? Not likely, more like someone the guy is comfortable with or can control). Just GTFO Gar honestly, I see no change where the guy has seriously added value to the team except from saving Pax from dealing with the media and on the other end just seemingly one run in after another with the coaching staff and there was also an article after the Adams thing about some of the run ins Gar has had in the past as well. Thibs (and Adams both) have a background of people loving their work and effort and Gar seems to have a background of power struggles and screwing with people when he can get away with it.

Jimmy had a good game last night

But did we miss nearly the last month where jimmy shot went into the toilet he no longer was getting to the line and shooting horribly from 3pt line?

Rose is still the star here let's not get crazy.

Didn't read anyone's post or the ops....but I saw go and first and thought Kirk Hinrich. Does that work for this thread? If not, that should be the choice.

Exactly. I don't want to see any of them go, because if that happens, it means we didn't win it all, and probably didn't make the Finals. If this team ever gets there **** together and actually does what they're capable of, I see things working themselves out. Winning cures everything. They dynasty Bulls always had a coach and FO at each others throats over various things. Instead of crumbling, they made it work on the floor, used it as fuel, and they all lived happily ever after in infamy.

This group needs to realize they have the talent to do something really special. This year. Now is the time to snap out of this BS funk of inconsistency and start finding it. Time for Derrick to start playing smarter basketball and taking care of the ball better. Time for Jo to either get healthy or get to the bench for a more team friendly role until he is closer to 100% Time for everybody to do their freaking jobs. Put all the BS drama aside and focus on the task at hand.
