Fun guy to watch, seemed like a good dude from all they said/I have heard.

RIP. As you said, fun to watch and seemed like a good guy. Very good player. SF was pretty stacked back then too.

Not too familiar with the man, but 52 is a young age to go. My condolences go out to his loved ones.

yeah and I was just watching the game last night on NBAtv where Magic came back in 96 (and dominated the game) and Kersey was on the Warriors in the game. Sad coincidence. Hope the Blazers retire his number if they didnt already. Forgot he was also on the Spurs in 99 for the ring

He was a big part of the early 90s run the Blazers had. They fielded some good team but were in the same era as Magic's Lakers, Isiah's Pistons and of course the golden-era MJ Bulls

barkley said yesterday that the blazers were the best team he played against that never won a title

Well, Steve Blake was wearing the number and decided to change his number to 5 in honor of Jerome.
