Is he injured or just hurt?

If hurt, well LeBron has a bad back too, every team has its players banged up by the end of the year.

Now its coming out every player on our team is suddenly playing with something, Butler, Kirk, Taj, Noah... they either have to suck it up or we need to rethink the roster because these maladies are setting up as the excuse for why we bow out for the 4th straight year on health concerns.

The AS break was supposed to be where everyone gets a week off to be healthy and rest up so we can make a final, much better, push than we have been.

Did Jimmy ever really get over his original thumb injury from the preseason anyway? Wasn't his thumb always taped up? I noticed last game it was taped up more than usual, and thought it was because he hit it in the previous game. I guess the question for me is, has his thumb gotten worse since the beginning of the season.....and does that mean he would need some type of procedure or surgery?

I want this guy 100% healthy come playoff time. Better rest him now and let all his past injuries heal properly. Will not happen though, all we know that.

It's a same thumb injury from October. It was a sprain. If i remember well ball hit him right in the thumb when he tried to steal it. It's no wonder it didnt heal. Guy play 40 minutes every game and usually has ball in his hand and he shoot with same. He got zero rest whole season.

I have the same thumb injury....thats why he's wearing a spica splint/tape. It basically is designed to lock his thumb and wrist in so there are no un-predictable movements.

Common basketball and volley ball players injury.

Does not impact effectiveness. Just needs a few weeks time to mentally adjust for. Which Jimmy would already have, considering that he's had it all season.

Finger and thumb injuries/jams are pretty common, aren't they? I expect most NBA players play with similar injuries all the time. I think this qualifies as old news unless there is some report he has re-injured it or irritated it to the point where it has gotten significantly worse.

It's the same injury. He never stopped wearing the bandage/brace which was concerning right from the get-go, even though the team acted like it was not that serious at the time.

His shoulder was also hurting as recently as the AS game.

Its the same injury he's had since the pre season. Butler is a warrior, no problem.
