Reasons to be positive:
1. We know it is possible he comes back. Imagine (I know how unlikely) he comes back and we make the Finals. I think we will be fine without him for the next 6 weeks-we have a stacked team and we will still win 50+. With the right seeding we can make the ECF.
If this were to happen it would be one of the best sports stories ever-not exactly "Miracle on Ice" level, but way up there. So, we have that to hope for.

2. We were hurt by Rose's inconsistency, but we know he brought it in big games. So, for the rest of the regular season, no huge loss-more shots for more efficient players

3. More minutes now for sure for Snell, and possible McD. That will help for the future

4. We have a nice young core with Butler, Snell, McD and Mirotic-plus our bigs have value to trade this summer. We are a rare win-now team with young players

5. We are a top 3 drafting team-and we have the Sac pick as an extra asset

6. Lots of us did not like the way the team was playing this year-not a lot of heart. I bet we see the hunger back, with Noah leading the way.

7. I have less emotional investment in the Bulls now-I didn't like how down I was after 2011 and DRose's first knee. I still enjoy, but I also enjoy the intellectual exercise of trades and the draft. Now, we have lots of options. I hope the trade board is ready for 50 Taj deals coming from me over the next month.

We can hope for a Rose return, get excited to see some of the old butt-kicking Bulls back and look forward to an interesting summer-better than giving up

Anything less than an ECFs appearance for this team is still a disappointment IMO. That is how high my expectations are for this team minus rose. The FO said they were gonna build with rose instead of around him and they did a really good job of doing that IMO. I was depressed yesterday and unfortunately I think we have probably seen the end of MVP rose again, but I think he will still be servicable going forward. And I am excited for this current team right now heading into the playoffs. Once this week goes by, I think they will have their heads on straight again and steam roll into the playoffs

Actually I think the only team Bulls would have major problems with are the Cavs. I think they can compete with Hawks, Raps and Wizards fine but the Cavs with or without Rose are a very tough team now after those trades they made.

Imo Thibs missed his chance to develop Niko, Snell and Doug into better role players in time for the playoffs. I was hoping they got tons of experience in time for the playoffs but I dont think they got enough. So I only see them getting spot minutes at best in the playoffs under Thib's tight leash

Maybe that's the reason #TheReturn did not turn successful. Rose needs to cut it off.

We got some young players with potential such as Nikola, Doug who both have upside, and Nikola have a potential to be a superstar. Oh an we got Snell who could improve who have upside to it.

That's all the positive I got right now. Sorry, I am so down nowadays.

Yep we are destined to get rolled in the first round at this point. Time to rebuild.

Nikola has the potential to be a superstar? That seems to be a little bit of a stretch. The guy is 24 already and he really hasn't done anything spectacular this season. I think the expectations are a little unrealistic. There are no superstars in this league who breakout at 25.

You have to measure it against second year foreign players.

They dont have the same trendline as do rookies.

Niko already knows competitive basketball. He has to get used to NBA this season and we'll see next season what we have.
