The above minutes chart reflects average minutes per game. It is not the target minutes for each game, and does not factor injury/mop-up time. The chart averages different strategies for different opponents. For example, the 2 minutes of McRoberts at Center reflects some matchups where McRoberts is put at the 5, next to Love, for 5-10 minutes, in order to pull both an opponent's center and power-forward out of the lane; it does not reflect 2 minutes of McRoberts at center every (or most) games.
If there is an injury or slump, the minutes plan would be adjusted. Along those lines, there is some fluidity in the minutes distribution between Tony Snell, Solomon Hill and Dorell Wright (and maybe even Barnes/Oladipo to a limited extent), depending on what is needed and what is going on with the player. #
If McRoberts is assumed to get injured 1/4 of the way through the season like he did this year, 10 of his PF minutes in injury games go to O'Quinn, and 2 to Barnes. 2 of McRoberts minutes at C would go to Ajinca. Head CoachTerry Stotts

*Top 10 protected first owed to Heat via Spurs; pick becomes unprotected final season (2019).
Free Agents1. Perry Jones III (23 y/o; 6'11, 235; in 13-14 he shot .46/.36, 10P/5.5R/1A/1B at PF - injury and use at SF this season have seen decline in efficiency; Developmental guy at PF).
2. Dorell Wright (29 y/o; 6'8, 200; 13P/6R/2.5A/1ST per36; .39/.40 FG/3P; Veteran 3&D wing brought in due to familiarity with Stotts' system and to settle and "mentor" the stable of young wings).
3. Shelvin Mack (24 y/o. 6'3, 215; 13.5P/6.5A/3R per36; .41/.34 FG/3P; solid young player who accepts bench role reunited with Dennis Schroder; learned under Brad Stevens at Butler and Budenholzer in ATL; similar to and insurance for Jerryd Bayless).
TradesPhilly trades 18 and 31 to the Heat for 24 and 25.
Philly and San Antonio Swap picks in the 6th and 7th round, with Philly also sending San Antonio a top 10 protected first rounder, the pick loses any protection, and becomes unprotected, for the final season (2019).
Philly sends 8th, 9th and 11th (picks 186, 199, 247) for San Antonio's 8th rounder and two 11th rounders (picks 172, 250, 261).
Future Roster PlansThe Sixers believe they will a tough team in the 2014-15 playoffs, and potentially contending if the chips fall correctly. Management's plan is for each of the next 5 seasons to be a team that could "have a magic season," like the Pistons a while ago, the Mavericks a couple years back, San Antonio last year and maybe Golden State or Atlanta this year. That's why the team is built around young guys that have "proven" their talent in the league, but in many cases have room to grow.
Priority 1 will be to resign all drafted players - Love, Dragic, and RFAs Ajinca and O'Quinn, to include matching pretty much all offers. Free Agent Dorell Wright may be retained, depending. The Sixers expect to lose their 2015 first round pick, which is top-10 protected. That's ok, as the roster is loaded with young players, so there is not a lot of room..
The team is built around 28 year old Dragic and 26 year old Love. Dragic is arguably the most efficient guard in the game who led a very young and less talented squad to the cusp of the playoffs (and see how they have dropped off without him). Love is an inside-out PF who, when utilized properly, can be a lead scorer and volume rebounder, and even play decent defense so long as he doesn't have to be the rim protecting backstop (see his post-Mozgov defensive stats).
Then you have two "young veteran" centers in 28 year old Mozgov and 26 year old Ajinca. Like many bigs, both are just starting to really show what they can do now in their later 20s. They foul too much are getting smarter, and both are solid defenders and rim protectors (Mozgov is a bit better) and can score in a variety of ways (Ajinca is a better). We already know that Mozgov and Love play solid defense together. Behind Love you have Josh McRoberts - a hated-by opponents scrapper who can shoot the 3 as well as Love, and also an excellent passer. You have 26 year old Jerryd Bayless, a reserve ultra-athletic combo guard who can score off the bench, defends decently, and fill in at the 1 or 2, as needed. Finally, you have a 3&D wing on the deep bench who is capable of being the worst starter on a very good team - Dorell Wright, the consumate "3&D" SF who can also give you some minutes at SG.
But they key may be the 24 and under set, 21 year old Schroder is almost a lock to be the PG of the future once Dragic starts to slow down in 3-5 years. For now, he's the 3rd guard. At starting SG, you have 22 year old Oladipo looks like a young multi-time all-star. At stating SF, you have Harrison Barnes, who people think of as some veteran (because he plays like it), but who is just 22 years old and still getting (slowly) better.
Behind them, 23 year olds Snell and Hill are two young wings who have earned the confidence of tough defensive coaches; the Sixers are hoping Snell can develop his game to be similar to Nic Batum, while trying to develop Hill as a defensive player along the lines of a Tony Allen or Matt Barnes. 24 year old Kyle O'Quinn is a versatile F/C, reminding me a good bit of Antonio Davis, but a big bigger. He's a hustle player and sound defender, who also is a good passer, shooter, and gives you some blocks defending the paint. He may end up taking minutes away from Mozgov, Ajinca or McRoberts on some nights, because of matchups and the more conservative big-man game he brings.
The 24 year old Shelvin Mack is a player who any time would be happy to have on their roster. A smart, disciplined and solid sized combo guard (measurements a tiny bit smaller than Derrick Rose) whose point guard skills have developed nicely, and who accepts a role on/off the bench. And the wild card may be 23 year old Perry Jones III, a spectacular physical talent who has some discipline questions, but who also has been mis-used by Scott Brooks. Jones needs to have a straightforward development plan - learning defense and focusing on being a stretch PF, where his range and athleticism give him a huge edge on most opponents, and his size (as he fills out) will still be an advantage against most opponents.
