He won't do it but Thibs needs to start Moore tonight at PG

As much a some might think that Brooks scoring - 22 points on 23 shots against the Wiz - might be needed tonight against OKC, the thought of what Westbrook will do with AB defending him is utterly terrifying.
I know that Moore is nothing close to a shut down defender but, come on, he IS a defender and at least he is Westbrook's size. I'd really like to see what he can do in a game that the Bulls likely have less than a 50-50 chance of winning with Brooks playing 30+ minutes or HInrich trying to guard Westbrook.

Wasn't Wall supposed to destroy Brooks? At any rate, tonight will be team defense. Close down the paint so as to make Westbrook (and the rest of OKC) take jumpers. Our PGs won't be expected to stay in front of Westbrook.

No offense but do you actually think that Wall is the equal of Westbrook, particularly right now?

Do you really think Moore has much of a shot to slow down Westbrook either? This game is about slowing down the tempo and having our bigs control the paint on both ends.

I hope we put Snell on Westbrook tonight.
We can hide our PG on one of OKC's low volume wings.

Let him score 50 or so. We get the W. Watch out other guys like Morrow, Waiters, and McGary..

He's just as big and just as fast, so yeah I think the comparison is valid from the perspective of Brooks being athletically unable to compete.

I don't either Brooks or Moore will do much against Westbrook on defense.
I think there is quite a difference between Brooks & Moore on offense.
Westbrook might score 40 on Moore. 45 on Brooks.
Brooks could score 22. Moore could score like 10.

Nobody can even pretend to slow down Westbrook so who cares?
I say put Snell and Hinrich on him but it won't make much difference. He's faster, stronger, and much more aggressive than anyone the Bulls can put on him. Just stay home on their shooters and let him get 40 pts.

Letting him get 40 vs. letting him get 30 can be the difference between a win and a loss. But limiting his assists will also be important. It'll take a team effort anyway. Pau has to be a little more alert, Niko can't reach in and Jo will have to make tough decisions between staying on Ibaka or helping on WB.

No one is stopping westbrook by himself, it will take team defense accurate rotations and help from bigs to contain him.If brooks could atleast keep up with him, make him shoot jumpers and hope he misses. But yea brooks is just too short, our best guard defenders are kirk, moore, and snell right now, they would prob have a better chance at him even though the way hes been playing it probably wont make a difference.

Just like Wall, Bulls have to play a team defense on Westbrook since not one person on the bulls is going to be able to stop him by himself.
