as i said in the other thread the average age on this team is what? 28-30? they are veteran players they shouldn't need to be pushed harder to do their jobs....the team is just soft and i'll be happy when these guys are off my team

So, in other words, you want to tank the season with a bunch of lazy unmotivated guys?

What is he talking about? The day after a 4OT game is the moment Jimmy picks to say Fred should get on guys and coach harder?

Trade jimmy for cousins

Go hard after durant in the off season

Rose /durant/cousins the new big 3.

I guess it is an indirect way of saying the guys are playing like wusses. But pushing Hoiberg under the bus is not cool at all.

Other than Jimmy who on this team is playing at or above what we would expect of them. MAYBE Pau and lately Jo, but it's pretty slim

Especially on offense this team still looks discombobulated. They have to start playing semi organized ball at some point.

I think he implies, not infers. But for sure had to infer before he implied.

yeah its not really the best time to bring this up but its interesting that a group of 30 year old men need to be "coached harder"

Thibodeau is the extreme end of a coach who is hard on players. Either way, Butler shouldn't be answering a question in this fashion. Just really, really poor timing on his end.

So trading jimmy tanks us?

Cool, not only do we get cousins and the cap space but we get a lottery pick to draft a young prospect or trade for more roster depth.

The plan is coming together.

Jimmy is still mad about Fred's mistakes in the Pistons loss

Jimmy is probably mad that Hoiberg isn't half the coach Thibodeau is.

Dare I say, the players might be realizing the grass is not always greener?

I mean the little bit of good we still see in this team is the defensive philosophy, instilled by thibs. Specifically the team defense.

The specialty of offense that hoiberg was supposed to bring, we have not seen it executed and we are 25 games in. I refuse to believe that hoiberg is such a offensive guru that college kids from iowa can figure out his system but nba professionals cant?

Season just getting started.

Not for this roster.

Which infers that the FO is not planning on keeping this roster together going forward.

All his BS statements from last year were fake humility. He's big headed and has started to show his colors this year. It's not a terrible thing, more a side effect to his competitiveness, but it translates into public statements like this one, that are everything but constructive for the team.
He is a big part of the problem himself. If he wants to be a leader, it's by leading by example and execute the coach's plays instead of playing hero ball. Not by calling out the coach in public.

Well Portis can, Doug can. So every guy got from college in last two years can. But vet's can't. Noah maybe figuring it out

Sounds to me like Jimmy is more mad at his teammates than Fred. He's not complaining about subs or tactics, he's saying some guys aren't trying hard enough and they need to be called out.
