For right price he should be. He is not superstar. I would prefer to keep him until some point. And I certainly dont want current front office anywhere near of doing this kind of deal. It makes me sick they still have power of decision making after 5 years of garbage moves.

25 points a game, 7 boards, 5 assists ... wills the team to victories, plays elite defense, multiple All-Star appearances. Oh, he's a super star all right.

Rich Bucher is the source. I'll wait for a more credible source to believe it.

Just think about how nasty of a duo Isaiah Thomas and Jimmy Butler would be? Danny Ainge has to be kicking himself right about now.

If you're trading Butler, the only acceptable time to do so would be after the draft lottery occurs.

Or I guess you could trade him now if you're willing to engage in the most blatant tank job of all time and literally throw the next 45 games, which would probably get them all fired anyway.

I love Butler but I hate staying in no-man's land more than I love Butler. While Butler is a superstar, he isn't untouchable. At this point in the franchise history, we don't need a superstar, we need assets. Keeping him here through his prime and then trading him for less than what he is worth would be a disaster. The time to sell is NOW. Keeping Butler is a disservice to the Bulls and to Butler himself. Don't give Butler away, but trading Butler is the correct move.

Personally, I would like to see Butler paired with Russ. Talk about Team Swag. Don't know for what but Russ/Butler would give GSW fits.

If we are moving Butler, Wade is gone, too.

I love the word 'assets'. It doesn't mean jack at this point, but we keep repeating it as if it doesn't mean everything ranging from teen Eddy Curry to Kobe Bryant.

Remember that time, before the season even started, when Bucher said his sources (Bulls sources) told him that Rose was not playing that season no matter what? Remember when we all (including me) laughed at him and said his sources sucked?

Yeah, I remember that and I also remember when Rose was cleared to play and sat anyway. Good times. Bucher was right on that one and it turned he was right about a lot things Bulls that we the fans just didn't want to hear at the time. Now we all assumed his "source" was Camp Rose and Reggie.... but, who knows?

Front office should be on the move first.

Should have read "sources inside Ric Bucher's head...."

Fire the front office if they are even thinking about it.

You build around Butler. Not John Paxson, Gar Forman, and Fred Hoiberg.

This! Ain't trading Butler. If new GM and FO decide it's best to move him later, you got to trust them. But this front office is cancer. They shouldnt be doing any decisions wise for Bulls future. Specially not trading biggest asset Bulls have.

At what point will Reinsdorf look at this front office and say he's had enough with them?

They traded Derrick Rose forced them to sign big/old names in free agency for PR reasons. What's going to happen if they trade Butler? Wait for a whole rebuild? How would Reinsdorf be ok with that?!
