I actually think Bagley fits quite well next to Markkanen. Probably better than Ayton/Bamba

Also have to take into consideration that one of those top 5 guys are going to fall. Like you said other guys build their stock up but also it just seems whenever it's agreed who the top picks are it never stays that way all season. I remember ESPN (mock draft) thought we would get KCP and DLo and both those guys were picked well before we could get them.

Yep, a few years ago DX had Kelly Oubre going #4 until he started dropping during the actual season.

I think Kawhi had the biggest rollercoaster. He started out barely in the 1st round at 30, moved all the way up to #7, started dropping back down to 15ish because he had a crappy combine on measurements. 6' 6", 25" no step vert, 32" max vert. People said his athleticism was subpar, height was subpar, and he couldn't shoot.

Never paid attention to kawhi's stock but that's hilarious. Goes right up there with Shabazz being the next Kobe.

Givony's mock draft.
Has us picking #1 ( ) and drafting Porter (I still like him but I'm sure that won't be popular).

I'm so mad we couldn't get more draft picks for Jimmy. Literally makes no sense.

Fit wise, unless we think Markennen can play the 3 I don't think he fits well with Bagley. Not a better fit than Porter anyway. But I say draft the best player regardless of Fit. We need anything and everything. Whoever the best prospect is, needs to be a Bull next year.

If I were a team bad enough to have top 5 picks, I wouldn't trade that pick for Butler. Over my dead body.

If I were the PHO GM, I would not only lose a top pick in one of the most top heavy drafts of the decade, I'd also be mediocre enough to have a crappy draft pick for the next 2 years of Butler's contract.

So in essence, I would lose multiple top draft picks just so my team wins about 40 games and either just misses the lottery or gets embarrassed in the 1st round by Golden State.

Butler for a top pick only makes sense for Ainge, and he wasn't willing to deal the picks for Butler or Paul George. He ended up just dealing his pick finally for just more picks.

As a thought experiment, if Thibs came back and said "Hey Chicago, we're not going anywhere this season. We'll trade you Butler back for you unprotected #1 this year" would we take that trade? Hell no.

Wait what. The he is 6'10

Decent length and moves around the basket.

He fits Fred stereotype guys who can shoot, dribble, and pass.

Offensively he a modern day C.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Taking Porter over Bagley would be tragic

Bagley isn't just a good fit next to Markkanen; he's a great fit. Bagley could play the 5 in an NBA lineup. He's going to do most of his damage closer to the rim anyway. The mismatch potential that both players could offer as a frontcourt would be huge long-term.

I get why some prefer Porter, but Bagley to me is the most unique talent in this class right now. Granted, I don't think he's a "can't-miss" prospect, but he has huge potential as a two-way player. He can impact a game in so many different ways.

I think Bagley can give you some rim protection with Markkanen and they could be interchangeable at the 4/5.

I dont see how Porter is the better fit with Markkanen over Bagley. A Bagley/Markkanen front court duo seems like the ideal front court duo for today's NBA. Offensively theyre a dream come true with Markkanen's shooting ability and Bagley's inside and out game with the ability to create for himself. Defensively Bagley is very versatile and gives you a rim protector and a tremendous rebounder. Porter is a bad defensive player and with the way the game is going, I think his best position is going to be at the 4 and I dont think he and Markkanen is a bad fit, I just dont think hes a better fit than Bagley with Markkanen.

Porter and Markkanen is a bad fit unless Porter shows much improved ball skills.

Bagley and Markkanen are a very nice fit. They'd mesh great on both ends.

Worth remembering, Bagley isn't super long - 6'11 with a 7'1 wingpsan, per DX, but he does have a strong reputation as a defender and is athletic, of course.

I'm not sure if he's a true 5, but he absolutely can play the position. I see him like KAT, pretty interchangeable 4/5.

I'm going to have to see some more of Markannen, right now I have him as a 4/5 that as time goes on will lean more and more towards being a 5. I don't think Markannen fits perfectly with anyone, but I do think they can play together, and in an ideal world I think you have Markannen as a 3rd big that can play with either your starting PF or C effectively (though if he really is good enough then I won't deny him the starting role).

Bagley isnt super long but he is perfect modern NBA C. And he plays bigger than he is. His athleticism is that good. He is probably best athlete and only projected 2 way player in this draft in top 4.

I think Bagley has the athleticism to guard 2-5.

Is Bamba being considered a potential franchise player? I like him, but I don't see that in him.

I believe one of the bigs was already showing some injury concerns (read on DX I think). Believe it was Bamba. That's not good...especially with our stellar history and the world's history of injured bigs.

I think Bamba could have a Gobert type of dominance on defense.

Defensively he could be franchise level.

He could, but an elite defensive specialist isn't a franchise player. Gobert is good, but would you build a franchise around him specifically?
