I find this far more disturbing.....

Middle school teacher Nick Gurol told NPR's Avi Wolfman-Arent his students became flat-Earth believers after hearing Irving discuss the subject on Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye's podcast in February.

Related: https://www.thescore.com/news/1234625

"And immediately I start to panic. How have I failed these kids so badly they think the Earth is flat just because a basketball player says it?" Gurol said.

He's tried reasoning with his students, but hasn't been able to convince them otherwise.

Get Richard Branson on the line for Irving and get him to the space. Might leave him there too for a while.

The Bucks officially re-signed Tony Snell to a four-year, $46 million deal on Monday.

Good for Tony. Hope the Bucks choke on that contract! Really just because I don't like the Bucks, not that it's that bad.

Well it's about $11.5m per year. In 2016/17, the MLE was $5.6m. Right now it's up to $8.5m. So basically Tony got a little more than the MLE. It's basically like an $8m contract in the old cap: starting role-player cash.

Seeing as Jabari is going to be a liability with his 2nd ACL recovery, and Middleton is also coming off a bad injury/season, Tony is probably going to continue starting a lot of games alongside the healthier of those two, and he seems to fit well in Kidd's system alongside Giannis.

Ironic, given we had talked about trading these two that this news came out today:

Ray McCallum has signed to play for Unicaja Malaga next season.

Just goes to show that the gap between the "haves" and "have nots" is pretty small in today's NBA.

Really feeling Phillies new jerseys - modern, yet feel like a throwback at the same time. In, I'm pretty unanimously happy with all the new jersey reveals so far.. obviously they're only minor differences but they've all been good and I think the Nike fit and look is all worth a thumbs up.

Ian Clark at 1.6 is a great get for the Pelicans. He'll fit in really well next to Jrue or Rondo.

Bulls should try to trade for Frank Jackson. He's buried on the Pels now.

I don't see how anyone could get worked up about the Milwaukee bucks

very reasonable deal. there were times where it looked like tony didn't have the fortitude to compete in the league. bet he actually cracked a smile when his agent told him about the offer

Not surprised at all. This is why I was excited about the possibility of bringing him back on a lower contract if we could somehow get rid of Wade. I was always in favor of keeping Rondo over Wade.
Why so serious?

Oh they will. It's a low key horrible contract similar to the ones Milwaukee has been giving out for years.

They will try to offload Snell next summer. They will probably be unsuccessful.

It is being reported the T-Wolves are about to offer a 5 year 150 mil extension to Wiggins. Butler may be a free agent in 2019-20.

Well-intentioned question here: I haven't followed all of the details and possible scenarios, so could you clarify your reason for including the bolded part? Wouldn't any team assume that Butler will become a free agent in 2019-20 given his opt-out, and given that his current deal is way below market rate? Aren't the Wolves assuming it? They still have his Bird rights...

Or are you pointing that out that maybe the Wolves won't have enough money to give Butler his max deal if they have already given Wiggins the reported extension, and that therefore other teams might have a chance to sign him in free agency?
