In the end they all are just a bunch of "overaged" kids spoiled with money...this is some funny reading  .

Valentine and Payne should be less, in the mid 60s, probably even less for Payne.

I haven't downloaded it yet, but I can't wait to play that. What's the prelude like?

It was alright, scripted with some gameplay and already annoyin characters  . I felt the gameplay was more loose than in 2K17 which im not sure its good, but we will see how it is when the game comes out.

Hilarious...in MyGM mode, Minnesota won't accept the Butler + Bulls 1st for Lavine/Dunn/Minny 1st trade. The CPU wants more.

Gameplay is nice so far. Offball players seem to be a lot more active and movement is more loose and natural than last year. Logic seems lol, halftime advice from coach was to use my player to create more mismatches...and then in the 3rd quarter i only played the last minute of it  . Playin with Bulls in legendary difficulty as a SF. I made a C aswell. If you give room for npc the shots are money.

At least 2K knows Jerian Grant is the best PG of the three.

Yeah, I'd give Payne a solid 62, Valentine a 66, Portis and Grant each at 70.

Lauri is ranked a little too favorably for a 19-year old PF, even if he had a nice Eurobasket. There is a realistic chance he plays very limited minutes, especially if Niko's back.

Yeah the 2k team seems high on him. High potential, and as a rookie he has an 87 three point shooting attribute...that's going to be well in the 90s as he matures. His Speed & Acceleration are also very high for a 7 footer.

He's going to be a very nice player for anyone playing CHI in a multi year mode like MyLeague.

Every top rookie had similar rating. Nothing to do with "high on him".

Game is so similar to last year. It's getting boring. Feels more and more just roster update. Mycareer is full of loading.

Lauri is definitely one of those players who are better than their rating. He's 7ft and as you said has better speed than most. He either pick and pops from 3 or he rolls and you can just lob pass and he'll catch it over about anyone.

Why is it hilarious that a team wouldn't undo a trade they wanted to make?

I just got NBA 2k18 and I play the exhibition game I struggle with Niko who is on the team and start at the four for the Bulls in this game. But for Lauri I made three threes and two dunk score 13 pts with him with 1 blk while I missed wide open threes or a shot that is contest or get block when I go for a soft layup with Niko. Yep this game got it right

This is not undoing the trade. This is Chicago gives Minny Butler + 1st, in exchange Minny gives Chicago their 1st + Lavine + Dunn.

In MyLeague you can start in the offseason, not the regular season. So i was trying to replicate the trade to get an accurate start. The CPU wouldn't allow it.

(I ended up just starting in the reg season).

Just started playing the game. Mostly My Career with the Bulls, and oooh man do we suck. DWade is brick city going 2/11 for 6 points by halftime, but he's still shooting and won't ever pass the ball.

The game is also getting Hoiberg's rotation spot-on! We're starting LaVine / Wade / Pondexter / Niko / Lopez. Our point guards of the future Dunn and CamPayne don't crack the rotation :o

But we're somehow still a .500 team and already beat the Raptors twice. One was actually a blow out

As for my character, I'm a stretch four slasher PF coming off the bench and I hardly get any touches. The guards I play with (2 SGs in Holiday and another in-game character) constantly look for their own shot. So far, I'm a 64 overall, 10.7 PER, 39% TS scrub. I'm slow as molasses and brick everything even though I'm supposed to be a sharpshooter. Wide open, open, doesn't matter. The game counts "anybody in vicinity" as a true defensive coverage even though they're in no position to defend or have their hand up. And when that happens, my shooting % goes way down automatically.

Git good? Yeah, that's about the only option. The game is already forcing me to play on Pro since there's no Rookie setting in My Career. And I'm not about to shell out more $$ for VCs to shortcut my way to enjoying My Career.

I think they screwed up something with the shooting release since a "good", "slightly late", or "slightly early" shot all bricks like no other. Only "excellent" has a chance to actually go in. Hopefully this gets addressed in a patch soon.

You should try the MyGM mode as a Bulls, there is some funny and fuming ownership issues but not gonna spoil anything. Almost loosing on purpose going for the number one lottery spot. Also a great way to get easy VC by doin manager modes. Word of advice, when you start a new manager mode make sure to turn down those injury frequencies as by default it seems there will be LOTS of injuries all over the league.
