I know we are on pace for a historically bad year. And I know we only have potentially a few long term pieces on the roster at this time. And I know we need a generational player with our number one pick in the draft next year. I think its ayton, but wont be upset with bagley, and think Doncic would be a mistake.

But how bad are we really? I am not a big metrics guy. But watching this team play doesnt make my eyes bleed even as much as watching last years more competitive team. Look at our point differential which sits around 11pts. Compare that to the teams that have similar point differential that have won more games than us. Really in most games we have been competitive minus a few outliers. The beauty is because we have no 4th quarter stud players, we lose all close games which is ideal for the tank.

But to me, this team is far more watchable than the Cartwright teams. And there is far more hope.

Granted, I really only like watching when Markennan, or Dunn, or even Nwaba are on the court because I consider them long term roster pieces. And Lavine I expect to feel the same about as well. And granted, when felicio is on the court, I fast forward the recording because he is not an NBA player but we decided to give him a really stupid contract. But overall, I am somehow still watching every game, usually as a recording so I can fast forward and watch more condensed. So this tells me I like what is going on, and there is hope.

Just my thoughts.

Very watchable.

We are really bad. Definitely the worst in the league and potentially the worst in the league in the past five-or-so years. I agree though that we're much more watchable than a number of other teams in the league this year and also much more watchable that last year's club. Watching this year's team is also easier because losses hurt less knowing that we want a great draft pick. There's definitely hope and hope makes teams watchable. We have more hope for our future than we did last year, in my opinion.

This is really hard. I think harder than the Cartwright years. At least we had Curry, Crawford, Chandler to watch and give us some hope. Right now, all we have is Markannen and he isn't looking so great (although as I have said I am not concerned and think his recent play is more a product of his environment). Dunn may be something, who knows, but certainly doesn't look like he is going to be an all-star (and it isn't like he is THAT young). Nwaba looks like a solid bench contributor on a good team but not sure he will ever be helpful to the Bulls.

Honestly it’s not that bad and nothing I haven’t expected. I understand if non bulls fans can’t watch but the team is playing hard and to me that’s worth watching. I think the 40 win teams were boring as hell because there were tons of games we lost just from being lazy and everyone having turmoil. I’ve already watched more games this year than the last 2 years combined.

Right now, the only reason I ever watch is just to see if there is even a glimmer of hope with the pickups from Minnesota (Dunn/Markannen/eventually Lavine).

I guess the optimist in me is hopeful that one day, I'll be able to say "I remember when_______ was a young player and now he is a superstar; I'm not holding my breath waiting though.

Offensively we have the worst Ortg in the league but at least appear to go through some decent motions with a spattering of terrible turnovers and ill advised shots. It's watchable though. Defensively on the other hand, I routinely want to gauge my eyes out watching them. It's so pitiful, and that it's not last in the league (25th overall) is really hard for me to wrap my head around. That may be a residual effect from being so proud of Thibs defenses though.

Offensively we suffer from a few things:
1) We lack an offensive player who can create consistently for himself (hopefully Lavine fills that role). Lacking that, everyone gets more defensive attention that they are used to - ie Lauri would be better as a #2 option.
2) Guys aren't used to each other, ie aren't looking for passes that turn into turnovers or don't know to look for a guy in "his spot" resulting in lower fg%.
3) Young guys get the yips.

Defensively,
1) New systems for even 1 guy in line-up can cause rotations to be that fraction of a second too slow.
2) I think having RoLo featured offensively has diminished his defensive game.
3) We are going to get worse (with Lavine coming back) before we get better.

Can't watch this crap. I am a fan...not some strategic front office executive or shareholder for the Bulls. I watch for entertainment and all I ask for is the chance for my team to compete/win that game. I am not a delusional fan who expects my team to be a dynasty as if all other teams exist for mercy kill. They gave up on a top 15 player in his prime. It is not like they gave up on Derrick Rose after his injury(that would be understandable).

Cannot watch, will not watch unless they get a competitive team. They need to have a chance to win every time they step on the court(they need not win). That's all I ask for. And, I am not going to confuse what Hoiberg/GarPax did to the last few year's teams with what could have happened with a reasonable coach/savvy FO and blame it on Jimmy.

The bottom-line is the Bulls lost me as soon as they decided to tank with a bad coach. I don't run a charity for the Bulls to pay for their expenses by subscribing to their games.

Can't wait to see Lavine. Can wait a really long time to see Niko.

I don't find them to be watchable at all. At least during the Cartwright years, it didn't feel like a complete waste of time like it does now to watch the team. I'd rather just watch Markannen highlights and bits and pieces of games.

I'd watch full games, even found last year to be entertaining, at least for the first half and the last fifth of the season. This year is such an obvious tank job that I can't stand to watch it for any stretch of time.

I've caught almost every game, and even attend some. I dont blame people for thinking its unwatchable, but I do some see reasons to watch.

Lauri and Dunn's development are worth watching for.

Identifying a couple pieces you want around in future is worth it too (Nwaba, Holiday, Valentine, whatever).

But again, I don't blame people who find it unwatchable though. I do find it interesting that some posters post about the team, but claim to not watch? How can you comment on something you're supposed to watch to analyze?

I enjoy watching Dunn and Markkanen.

The rest? Nah.


But I severely checked out the previous two seasons, so I’m enjoying the Bulls more this year than the last two. To me, there’s nothing more boring than a hopelessly mediocre team.

Most of us don't comment on the game or individual players...there is not much to comment. I feel it would be similar to my opinion of Khalid El Amin or Jake Voskuhl in the 2000s....just didn't matter.

But, you can also make some good judgments based on stats(not box scores). The point is we all like this team and want them to succeed but do not like how it is being done or how they have behaved for the last few years. As I said, we are not cheerleaders for the front office. We are fans who have our opinions/ideas.

Oh man, what the hell? I've never seen anybody actually compete with one of those things. When I partially tore my ACL, I was fitted with one of those, and I went on a pretty extensive back country backpacking trip. But that is just an endurance thing. I'd hate to have to play with one of those things on in a fast paced basketball game. I couldn't even imagine jumping comfortably with one of those things.

Team is unwatchable. Feels like we are going backwards, we have been in rebuild mode for the past two decades. I am over it. Wake me up when their is HOPE.
