Asik to to NYC for Noah and Knicks first rounder. Bulls would also get a nice big trade exception from the deal as well I believe.

If you think you're not legitimately competing for 2-3 years there's no reason not to make this kind of trade IMO.

I'm not so sure the difference between Noah and Asik is enough to incentivize the Knicks to surrender that pick. Possibly felecio, who runs longer, but is much less of a cap hit

Noah & Fred didn't work the first time, it's not going to work the second. No chance even if New York was willing to incentivize the deal.

It's not about Noah, it's about the pick. You don't make organizational decisions based on how happy a coach or a player will be. You make the move that's in the best interest of the future outlook of your ballclub, and since we're tanking add a lottery pick is never a bad idea.

They've said they're not adding a 1st to dump Noah. Park that idea.

Buyout doesn't remove his salary from your books, which is the main reason to get rid of him.
