Would New York be willing to something like....trade their #9 for our #22 and our first round next year and right to swap the following year and we take on Noahs contract in some beneficial trade for New York?

lol, sorry, still a bit high from the good news. But seriously...I really like Mikal Bridges...I understand the thought that hes a reach at 6....but would really love a 2nd pick to solidify this core.

That Noah contract is hideous though. Two more years of 19M per year. We would be basically giving up on free agency 2019 completely. (I guess we could stretch Noahs final year or two.) I like the way you think because I love Bridges too.

Hell yea man. I mean, I wouldn't argue with someone who thought my idea was crazy....but I do believe at some point, most teams need to be daring to really put themselves in an awesome position. Having a Mikal Bridges added to a 6th pick being brought in would be its own jumpstart to a rebuild....we'd be adding that to LaVine, Lauri, and Dunn.

Hell yea man. I mean, I wouldn't argue with someone who thought my idea was crazy....but I do believe at some point, most teams need to be daring to really put themselves in an awesome position. Having a Mikal Bridges added to a 6th pick being brought in would be its own jumpstart to a rebuild....we'd be adding that to LaVine, Lauri, and Dunn.

A lot of players need the ball here, maybe too many? Lavine didn't work well with Lauri and Dunn so lowball him hard or let him go could be something to consider. However MPJ loves Lavine and Lavine could still turn more into a team player. Could just try it out.

Maybe we should take it slower and not add two pieces like that so fast. See how Lavine fits with someone like Porter, without Mikal Bridges being there. This would be safer bet for Lauri's future. I just don't want Lauri's development to suffer from getting too greedy this year in the draft.

Bulls aren't guaranteed to get the #6 pick. This is just for tie-breaker purposes. The lottery will be on May 15th.

Regardless, having the 6th best odds is super promising. I think at worst, a player like Mikal Bridges will be available at #6 as a safe wing option.

If we want to move up with the Pels pick, I kind of hope we attach Portis instead of Val. Two reasons:

1. Portis has more value given the way he played this year and thus could get us better return.

2. Portis is closer - one year to be exact - from his RFA(Val is two years away). I have reservations about paying Portis when Lauri is the PF of the future, and no, I don't see Portis playing big minutes at C.

So I think it's an ideal time to cash in on Portis.

We are not trading Portis unless it is a steal. I think he is our 6th man and part of the core. He should get about 27 minutes a game next season and put 15/8 on high efficiency. He is no throw in for a trade to get a mid first.

I dont think Lauri NEEDS the ball...Mikal doesn't need the ball IMO...and we wouldn't know who #6 would be?

Dunn and LaVine are more ball needy that not...so I guess #6 pick would tip it one way or another.
