just did 100 simulations based on the current vegas super bowl odds. bears made the playoffs...50 times. that garoppolo injury really helped, particularly given that the bears have a game in san fran late in the year
the donald, always unpopular, did worse in EVERY state in 2020. and by a greater margin in red states! 50 independently-run elections, none of them rigged

Vegas Odds (Westgate) has the Bears at 66.5% chance of making the postseason right now. And a 46.7% chance of winning the NFC North. CBSSportsline has the odds contained in their standings....

Also at Westgate Sportsbook in Vegas Bears are currently 40/1 to win the Superbowl...

I still think the bears made a mistake by picking Trubitsky over Patrick Mahomes.

We just have to hope Trubisky becomes good enough to the point where it's not too significant a miss. It's still early though, but Mahomes is showing rare QB traits at an early stage on top of possessing incredible arm talent.

OT: Bears trade for Khalil Mack

Post#447 » by StunnerKO » Tue Oct 2, 2018 2:11 pm

Can we stop with the bears should have picked who , fact is that said QB would have been behind in development with his rookie year being under John Fox and no weapons. Those other QBs are going into their 2nd year under the same coaching staff

I’m with Mitch until otherwise idc about another QB right now. Him and Mahomes were my top 2 upside QBs from the last draft and I’m happy we got one of em.

Wow was that kid fun to watch.

The LEFT handed throw???

I gotta know how Pace watched Mahomes at the 2017 draft combine and decided to pick Trubisky.

I haven't seen him really force bad passes either and he stays cool under pressure.

Both him and Goff are fun to watch.

Yeah Goff is an absolute stud, he’s another guy with incredible arm talent. The NFL is in a good place with some of the young up and coming quarterbacks. These guys have been fun to watch. I’m extremely happy with Mahomes on my Chiefs, think he’s going to be great, but he and my Chiefs have a long way to go to. As a guy that grew up watching people like Elvis Grbac, it’s nice to see superior talent at the QB spot for my home team (no offense to old man Montana, Trent Green, and Rich Gannon).

Here's Mahomes casually tossing a football 90 yards downfield....

Here he is throwing 135 yards....

Mahomes is looking like a transcendent talent. He's going to be a problem for the next 15 years.

His arm is ridiculous. I saw him in St. Joseph Mo for chiefs training camp. Some of the receivers were standing in the end zone playing 500 at the end of practice while Mahomes was casually tossing passes that looked like punts 70-80 yards.

It’s all going to come down to durability with the kid. If he remains healthy for his career, the sky’s the limit.

He has all the talent and probably the best QB coach there is teaching him. Key is he seems to have a good head on his shoulder and not a 10 cent brain.

I saw the mahones highlights. To me i like the favre comp. Thats who i saw in the highlight.
The left handed pass seemed more desperate than spectacular.
That drive ‘down’ 23-20 was not as impressive as Mitch first half. Mitch currently has a 100+ qb rating in the season. Not exactly the best time for buyers remorse.

A lot of that is bloated off one game. Mahomes has been really good each game.

I've been as critical of Mitch as anyone and praised Mahomes a lot, but don't overlook the fact that Mahomes sat under one of the best QB coaches in Andy Reid for a year.

There are still concerns about Mitch (in regards to him being able to play like this with more pressure), but I think he showed us a lot this game and while he wasn't under pressure much he showed he can make some nice passes. That back shoulder to ARob was special, for example.

We'll see what happens with him.

You can already tell he's a very cerebral player even from just a handful of games. He looks like a crafty veteran out there and he's all poise. Never panics even when being rushed

Wow. I wonder what the longest hail mary pass to reach the end zone is. Obviously harder, but wonder if he could do it from the 20 or 30. Crazy.

You can all salivate over Mahomes but let's make one thing very clear, Trubisky was the #1 rated QB prospect going into the draft by nearly every scout, Mahomes was 3rd behind Watson.

If you actually watch the game instead of focusing on the box score Trubisky has shown rare ability to keep plays alive, turn would be sacks into big gains. He's great at throwing on the run, running for big gains, he has great size and incredible arm strength, he makes good reads and rarely forces bad throws.

He needs to continue working on his footwork, going through progressions, and learning the offense but this dude is going to be a stud just chill.

Mahomes might be better but that's the just how the draft goes, stop with all this ****ing negativity I'm so sick of it, be happy for once in your miserable lives.
