Big time bust. Wouldnt want him taking up $5M in cap space let alone give any draft picks for him.

Sucks he’s so trash offensively but he’s a good defender, he’s not even 21 yet . 38th pick that bad if you can ditch Dunn contract elsewhere? At least he still can grow , Dunn basically what he is .

If the Knicks are able to sign KD/Kyrie but AD gets traded elsewhere, I was thinking about other potential trade targets for us that would help us compete in 2019-2020 (I realize I’m getting ahead of myself here). The Bulls came up and I was trying to figure out a way for us to acquire LaVine + Lauri. Here is a proposal I came up with:
Knicks Trade:
#3 Pick - RJ Barrett
Kevin Knox
Dennis Smith Jr.
Frank Ntilikina
2021 Mavericks First Round Pick
2023 Mavericks First Round Pick
Bulls Trade:
Zach LaVine
Lauri Markkanen
I said there was no way you guys would make that deal. He said there was no way we (the Knicks) would make that deal and that the Bulls would “insta-accept.”
Prove me right.
I can't imagine the Bulls doing this trade, not because the value is poor, but because I think they're under pressure to win now, and this trade is more future oriented for them. It probably sets back their rebuild a couple years, and I don't think that's the direction they want to go.

Yeah, I will Pax credit for already knowing this when he made those comments about needing a new PG. Unlike other players, this board is pretty unanimous that he's not our starting PG and our best use is to dump him or hope he magically improves.

You would think so, but at least once a week I see someone propose we trade Dunn for a late 1st or early second.
Though in fairness, that someone is usually League Circles.

What about trading down as an option ??
Looking at mocks would you trade # 7 (Culver or Hunter, assuming Garland and White are gone) to Boston for # 14 & #20 that could translate to players like SF N. Little and PG Ty Jerome.
Boston has 4 picks in this draft if they can't move them in a trade for AD.
Thoughts ??

I'm cool with taking on Ntilikina if the price is cheap. Taking on salary is something I'm not too keen on though.
But I think he was stifled a bit in NY. He's a great defender and needs a bit more freedom to develop offensively.
Not sure if there's a right deal there for us, though. Don't think I'd trade even #38 for him.

Frank is interesting because he Can play 3 positions imo.
He has offensive limitations but ny didn't try
To feature him or anybody for that matter.
He would be interesting as a rotational player, but the bulls should be looking for starting players.

Lonzo is trash, can't shoot. Dunn shoots better and makes less $. And no distractions from his father. Bulls don't want that crap.
I will trade Felicio straight up for him. That's it.
There's a reason the Lakers want to trade him.

What about Andre Drummond? Few players are capable of putting up 20/20 games. He is only 25 years old and would be an interesting pairing next to Markkanen.
I know people are high on WCJ, but I think Drummond has the higher ceiling. He is a rebounding machine and has the size to match up against Embiid.
WCJ + Dunn + Felicio
Coby White/ [ Patrick Beverly? ]
Zach LaVine/Denzel Valentine
Otto Porter/Chandler Hutchison
Lauri Markkanen/Otto Porter
Andre Drummond/Lauri Markkanen

His ft shooting, while better, is still only 59%, which hurts.

If you want Frank, just keep Shaq. He's a better defender (and shooter - Frank shoots 33% vs. Shaq 47%...neither can shoot 3's).

Good creative idea but this only makes sense if no star FAs sign with us. I would wait for Butler and 2nd star first.
But fit wise, way better than WCJ who is an undersized center that gets constantly bullied by Drummond, Embiid.
Lamelo will be a future superstar Bull. Book it. Lavar for president!

Re: Trade Thread: Armchair GMs welcomed
I wouldn’t even trade Dunn for Ball without the pick let alone including it
No way I’d want to help LA get Davis either
AD and Felicio to Portland
LaVine, 7th pick and Meyers Leonard to New Orleans
McCollum to Chicago
Blazers get much needed rim protection and a big 3 of Lillard, AD and Nurkic
Pelicans have a nice young core with Zion, 7th pick, Leonard, LaVine, Holiday
Bulls move in the right directions with McCollum, Porter and Markkanen
Sign Patrick Beverley and you’ve got 4 starters in place that can all knock down the 3

...that's not even half of what AD is worth. Pels easily say no.
