Who (if not RoLo) would you like us to pick-up as our back-up C?

If RoLo prices himself out, here's a list for consideration: https://www.spotrac.com/nba/free-agents/center/

My fav UFA's to get on a near-min deal:

Chandler
Noah
Zaza
Koufus
Pau

I think Kyle O'Quinn would be a very solid option.

I know he’s technically a PF, but I want Taj back. Great mentor/veteran presence, still productive, and can play at both the 4 and 5 positions.

Can we get Brook Lopez on his current deal?

The reality is that this question depends heavily on Dunn.

Because Dunn hasn't shown himself to be starting PG quality...we now have to revamp the PG position. This most likely means that the incoming PG will be on a 18 Million plus contract. That is almost 13 Million dollars more of a cap hit than is Dunn.

Which means the entire backup structure has to be reworked on the cheap.

Technically, Lauri is your back up center next year. The Bulls need a guy to be a PF/C to fill in as needed. If they still have a good relationship with Taj and they can get him for less than $5M, he would be great.

Taj. If we buy out Felicio sign Vonleh too.

As a vet presence big man I like Amir Johnson. I think he could be a good coach to WCJ. And he is like to be a cheaper version of Taj.

I'm not sure why there is an opinion it'd be possible to get Taj at a 5 mil or less deal. Guy has put up superb number again. He's also never had a wild payday (compared to Noah for example). He can and should go to it and reach for something near his value. If i was his agent I wouldn't settle for less than 12 mil if a two year deal, or less than 10 on a 3+ year deal.

Why not bring in both, taj and Lopez?

Lopez is better than these guys. Reinsdorf should pay up.

I thought about that, but if we're also playing Hutch and Dunn is still around (as a backup PG), I shudder to think about that no space, no shooting lineup. It'll be very similar to what we tried to pull with Rondo, Wade, Butler, Taj, and Lopez.. but just without all the talent

I'd want Jo. One of my favorite players ever and he seems to be having a bit of a resurgence. Wouldn't trust him as a starter, but off the bench, I'd definitely pick him up on a cheap contract. If we play lineups with Lauri at C, Otto can slide up to PF.

I guess this means the Bulls drafted Zion Williamson, and Markkanen is our starting five.

I am just making that point that Lopez is way better than him right now. I'd imagine if the Bulls got Zion they'd find a way to start everyone and probably play Zach at PG.

I think Joakim Noah or Kyle O'Quinn would be good. If not them then Noah Vonleh.

Could the Bulls trade Dunn for cap space? Maybe a team would take a chance on him...?
