Christian Wood would be an interesting pickup

Post#1 » by JimmyJammer » Mon Mar 18, 2019 4:16 pm

I watched this young man dominate the Summerleague last year and before that he was killing it in the G-League. He is extremely athletic, with range in his shot and he is an aggressive rebounder and shotblocker. Milwaukee released him today to make room for a guard in the aftermath of Brogdon's injury, and I think we should give him a look. He is at least better than Felicio as a backup big. He is only 23 years old.

Was thinking same! Although, so would have Tim Frazier.

As a bottom 4 team I don't think we'll pick anyone up. Bucks picked up someone because they have a lot of games left to play, we don't.

I do think we need someone like this in the summer. It's galling to keep hearing opposing announcers say teams need to attack our paint because we're so soft inside defensively.

Unless the Bucks breakdown next season, IDK what the bulls chances are of landing Giannis lol. He seems content there.

Giannis is a hard worker though so if Wood gets giannis's approval of his grind, I think that means something

I'd sign him on a cheap contract for two years before he blows up. Watching Harry Giles and Bagley shredding us yesterday gave me every reason to want to have athletic bigs like Christian Wood. We need explosive athletes upfront.

I'd be 100% on board with making a waiver claim and picking up Wood.

The Bulls will need a cheap-ish reserve 4-5, and Wood would fit the bill well. Might as well kick the tires on him right now.

It's not like the Bulls have too much talent. If you have to cut a Shaq Harrison, oh well.

I support this decision. The only healthy big on our bench is Felicio.

I'm not very high on him, he's had multiple NBA stints, including on bad teams (76ers) or teams needing bigs (Bucks) and still didn't manage to crack into their rotation. That said he's probably better than Felicio so I wouldn't mind getting a closer look.

Yup plus Archi is a better center than Felicio right now.

This is one of those underrated moves that we need to be making.

Well, he's gone. The Pels picked him up.

Tough loss considering the need for now and the value for the future.
