Gamethread: Jazz v Bulls (Mar 23. 7pm central)

With 9 games remaining on the Bulls schedule it’s time to relax with some smooth Jazz in the UC
Spoiler:
The Utah Jazz (42-30), coming off a loss to the Atlanta Hawks (thanks Jazz) are currently locked in a tight playoff positioning battle in the West were they could find themselves anywhere between the 5 and 8 seed. They’ve got plenty of incentive to win and avoid a very tough first round match-up.

For the Bulls (21-52) a well rested team defends the UC feeling good after a victory over the Washington Wizards with good performances from the Finnish Fundamental and the Brazilian Buffoon.

Match-ups to watch:
Rolo vs. Gobert
With Rudy Gobert at the center spot for the Jazz the Bulls may find it tougher than usual to find easy buckets off the back of everyone’s favorite neanderthal, Robin Lopez. Without those buckets, the Bulls could find themselves struggling to find baskets against a well coached Jazz team.

May the best team win... Please, please, best team...win for goodness sakes.

Hopefully this is a hard fought loss, even if Zach and Otto play.

Jazz just lost to Atlanta tonight. Thats two-fold great! One, because we can now afford to win 3 more games without sliding, and two, becuase now you know that Jazz aren't going to take this game for granted

Cue Rubio running circles around Kris Dunn.

Doesn't it seem like Dunn is automatically overmatched at PG in every game these days?

It does, doesn't it. That's because it's a fact. The starting point guards in this league are good. Usually, very good.

Teams are laughing at us for starting someone like Dunn.

Dunn is a moron if he sits. This is his time. He should play through any pain.

Dunn’s back finally gave out carrying the tank.

His time for what? Nothing really other than to help lauri and or Zach. And imo that’s ok,
He can’t be complacent but the emergence of Zach and Lauri , and Dunn supplementing them is enough contribution that kris doesn’t have to be thrown under the bus constantly

Just sit LaVine out for the rest of the year.

This isn't about tanking, it's being smart.

Yeah this is where I’m at with Lavine. I love that he wants to play and if the team was fighting for playoff positioning, I’d want him to play....

But playing him, with even nagging injuries, isn’t smart. The last thing the team needs is for one of those minor injuries to lead to a big injury at the end of the season that requires him to miss time next season.

I’m a firm believer in a domino effect when it comes to athletes and injuries. Anyone that has ever had a badly sprained ankle, or other foot issues knows how even walking can lead to other issues due to changing the way you normally carry yourself. Playing through any minor injury can often lead to other issues and Zach doesn’t need that whatsoever.

I enjoyed playing that Kenny G clip in 0.75 speed and 2x speed.

Absolute banger @ 2x

Sounds like it will be Lauri and Rolo w the bench mob, which is fine by me.

Rolo bringing back post up basketball is one of the more fun things about this tank season.

Sit all injured and just let Markkanen run wild.

Yep, his time to increase that trade value. I am already all in on that Ja Morant's bandwagon. And, Coby White is growing on me too. I don't believe in one-trick pony, because Dunn had the whole season to do his ****. He can't tease me with a 10-game sample anymore. Bench or goodbye.
