WCJ, Lauri & 2019 2nd rounder for AD & Holiday

C AD (re-signed)
F Bol (drafted)
F Porter Jr. / Hutchinson
G Lavine / Valentine
G Holiday / Rose or Beverly (fa)

I don't want to just be an 8th seed making the playoffs.

That team likely has 2 all-stars in the 2020 game & a legit shot at ECF vs Giannis for the next 5 yrs

Rose as the 6th man

Holiday takes the tougher defensive assignment from Zach, can play off the ball etc.

Bol & AD swat everyone's ****

Team has everything : size, length, offense, defense, three point shooting, multiple ball-handlers, efficient scoring, vet leadership & young guys with high upside (zach, chandler, bol etc.)

we'd have to add porter for salary matching purposes

Damn, you must really hate Lavine if a best case scenario has him traded for unqualified return.

If we are stuck with Ja at 2, anyone willing to swing for Boogie?

the assumption is that the return would be for something better than lavine on his contract. and i can't imagine a return that would be worse given that he is overvalued as a basketball player by the strong majority of people, including the bulls FO

it is more likely to me that morant tears an acl prior to the draft and the bulls still take him than it is the bulls trade lavine for a lesser return. and you'll notice that i did not specify a healthy morant either

Bulls win lottery, draft Zion.
Lillard says "F this, I want a big market and a big Zion. I want out now!""
Bulls trade Markannen, Felicio, Dunn, picks and capspace for Lillard.

Lillard
Lavine
Otto
Zion
Wendell

Living in Portland this gets a big YES from me.

Zion. A class A coah. A top notch PG. Markkanen, Carter have tremendous summers and take a step or three. LaVine awakes one morning and finds out his subconscious mind has figured out how to play defence. Blakeney loses his blinders and can't find them anymore. Felicio decides to become the best player he can be, and comes to the training camp in top shape. Porter realises that his teammates at Wash were right, and he does need to shoot more. Hutchison starts shooting threes respectably. The bench no longer consists of g-league level players.

If the Bulls landed Zion, then I think the best case scenario would be along the lines of:

Trading Dunn, Valentine, a 2020 top-4 protected first and Felicio (a salary need) to Memphis for Conley and the rights to Delon Wright.

I think Memphis would do that. Dunn still has enough talent to be worth something like a super-late 1st (in the 26-30 range), Valentine is probably worth a high 2nd rounder, and then Memphis gets another first (and little under 16M over 2 years in lost salary space with Felicio) in return for saving 67M over 2 years in Conley. Memphis has to know that as long as they have Conley and he's healthy, they are a treadmill team. The rights to Wright is me being extra-optimistic.

You resign Wright who can be a solid reserve at both the 1 and 2.

You find the best 4/5 who who won't pout if they don't get enough minutes with all or part of the MLE.

Roster looks like:

pg: Conely, Wright, Archi/Lemon?
sg: LaVine, (Wright), Blakeny / Selden / Harrison?
f: Porter, (Zion), Hutchinson, TLC?
f: Zion, (Markkanen), FA
b: Markkanen, Carter, (FA)

And maybe whomever the 2nd round pick in there, too.

Dream big this is the best case offseason and the answer is easy - Kevin Durant announces he wants to be a Bull.

Figure out the rest after that.

Look who's talking, you're both a defender and fan of Hoiberg and Boylen  plus the fact that I hate your f*cking guts and I won't back down your angsty, whiny ass, which is failing miserably with a lame attempt at trolling.

Well I kind of enjoyed seeing you crawl back from being a Timberwolf. But you cannot bring your old Bulls back with you. 8-)
