Assuming a reasonable level of health this seems like the number to me as well.

Exceptional progress by a couple players could move that to 46-48. A lack of progress could also easily drive that down to 38-40.

If the bulls are only 10 games better than last year without similarly bad health/injury issues then id be incredibly alarmed.

We didn't just add white and three decent veterans to the bench, we're also hopefully getting another ~60 games of OPJ, ~30 games of WCJ and Hutch, ~20 games of Lauri, and ~10 games of Lavine. Also getting Val back, who isn't amazing by any means, but the more removed we get from giving 40% of our minutes to literal d league players the better.

Seriously. Literally almost half our minutes were given to players who probably don't belong on the league beyond being 13-15th men at best.

What this team did last year has no bearing on how good we'l be this year. Unless you expect to have huge injury issues this season, I really don't see how we aren't ~15+ games better.

I had them at 31-51, but after the Sato and Young signings, I will up it to 35-47. I'm assuming a normal amount of player games lost to injury for this group and factoring in a starting rookie point guard who is going to make a lot of mistakes early in the season. If they start out fast out of the gate, they could really surprise me and be an 8th seed. That would take just about everything going their way and minimal player games lost to injury.

FiveThirtyEight project us to win 37 games, good for the 9th spot with a 48% chance of making the playoffs.

538's basketball models are trash but that feels about right for us

For the Bulls the last few years:
2015-16: prediction was 48, we won 42 (-6)
2016-17: prediction was 45, we won 41 (-4)
2017-18: prediction was 27, we won 27 (+0)
2018-19: prediction was 27, we won 22 (-5)

I think they've been about on point give/take 5 games, though they usually predict higher so there's that.

36. We have a decent team and finally have NBA caliber reserves. Still a year or two away from being a legit team in the East. This year we surprise a few people.

This is so depressing.

And personally if lauri and lavine can't get us to a 8th seed at minimal, its time to can the duo and work on the next core imo
