so losing another game or two wouldn't have changed anything. they would've had to lose 3-4 more games to POSSIBLY end up w/ doncic

I don't think you can put it that way. The point is, decided on a coin flip, we could have had the number 2 pick.

yes, we had to WIN games to get into that coin flip, though. had we won one more game we would have ended up with sacramento's lottery odds

I really like this Suns Team without Ayton. I really like the way the team flows I'm afraid when he comes back it might not be a good thing.

Really see the confidence growing in this Suns team. You can see it in their eyes as they begin to realize that they can play with Philly and that they might just be one of the top teams in the league. That "hey, why not us?" look.

No way, AD is a superstar, and he has no rings. Ditto James Harden. Chas Barkley was a superstar, and he had no rings. Karl Malone one of the best pf's ever, and no rings.

And that's why they are not superstars in my books. The epitome of an NBA player is to win a title and being the top 2 player of that winning team propels one to super stardom. The players you mentioned are great in their own ways but they never had the extra gear or luck to win a title.

To be a superstar, you have to be an exclusive batch. That's how I look at it.

apparently derrick rose was never a superstar. nor elgin baylor

good thing KG got out of minnesota. and oscar robertson got traded to play with kareem. otherwise they never would've become superstars

Rose was a supernova, burns bright but for a short while due to injuries. Yes, trades and luck play a part. That's life.

I’m a big Rubio fan. I regret the Bulls skipped him.

I'm just loving this Suns team right now. Ricky Rubio is playing outstanding basketball. He's knocked down three triples tonight. He just makes the whole team go

Hiring Monty Williams and hiring Ricky Rubio are two big culture changing moves that set this Suns franchise in the right path.

PHX is 5-2 right now. We probably should have their record.

Don't forget James Jones. I think that was also a terrific hire.

Difference between them and us is they have a really high IQ primary ball-handler who can get anywhere he wants on the floor at any time. Makes the whole team better.

And I have to admit I've never been a big Devin Booker fan but he's taking the step that we were all hoping Zach LaVine would take this year. Have to admit his playing terrific. Rubio just makes everyone around him better.

Maybe if we had the Suns GM and the Suns coach we would actually look like a professional basketball team, too.

Happy for the Suns, now maybe Bulls fans can let go of the Zach Booker comps.

Really? I think that a Zion/Ingram pairing is going to be real fun. And they have a boatload of picks. I think they'll be fine.

I wouldn't go that far. The Suns have been the worst run franchise for years.

I want to point out that I was advocating Rubio as a free agent target! He may be older, but he is as good as it gets in regards to a floor general.

And while Suns are looking to have turned the corner, it has taken years for this to transpire, I mean YEARS AND YEARS, so using them as some sort of model to aspire for is not the way to go about it.
Why so serious?

Freakin Suns man, that should’ve been us this year. They stole our team profile and aspirations and ran with it. Proves to you how it’s not just about the collective talent, but that coaching and basketball IQ also matter.

Swap Monty Williams with Boylen and Booker with LaVine and I think they'd be looking at 2-5 instead of 5-2.

A new GM and a new coach. Suddenly the team is winning games instead of competing for lottery balls.

Need to clean all the admin chunps at the top before we start winning games again.

And how easy that could've been us, but we dont hire smart capable people.. Well smart people dont even run the club,soo.. I really hoped for Monty to come here instead of Jimbo clown and Rubio was also pretty logical fit,Baynes was top on my list for veteran C, but here we are lol.. Btw.Im really happy for Suns!

Rubio, Baynes, Saric all pretty good vets are nice part of that too.. Rubio and Baynes would be great fit here, they were up high on my offseason wish list.
