I was a huge fan of Denzel that year. I hope he makes it back. Guys who can shoot, handle, rebound and pass at the wing are so rare. He'd be a great weapon off your bench.

The way I see it, there are probably 12-20 wing minutes that to be filled by someone other than Zach, Otto, Sato, White, Thad. And we're basically saying that we're hoping that Val or Hutch (or Shaq/Dunn) can step-up and fill those minutes productively. Not a big risk - especially with Shaq back.
It’s the cost of a roster spot. We already spent a whole season with him occupying a roster spot without playing. It’s hard for me to justify doing it again it he’s having trouble healing.

If he's not able to play healthy, the team might be able to file for a medical exemption. Also, who are we getting who will be a meaningful rotation player?
I would buy-out Blakeney, followed by Dunn before dumping Valentine.
And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Valentine will return to the top of his form this season, but I'm thinking the chances that he does are 50/50 by the ASB. And THAT guy would he a very nice back-up SG.

Not 100% sure I want him over Dunn and I am not a Dunn supporter at all. Yes over Blakeney. You are right though there isn’t much upgrade out there over him that we can get.

Also rare: NBA players that get effortlessly torn up by your average retail worker.
It’s been said before, but trash this bum and sign Frank Nitty.
God, Val is such a joke.

Val could be a good addition to the bulls bench if healthy. He was becoming automatic from 3 his last season. He gives you solid rebounding and can also play-make alittle bit. Frank Nitty is like having a worse version of Antonio Blankley. I would prefer Valentine over Blankley. I guess most of you guys never been to any proam games. NBA players get cooked sometimes by these street guys. Jamal Crawford got cooked by a Chicago guy name David Bailey when he played with the bulls. Tim Hardaway got cooked by a highschool Will Bynum. I can give you so many examples but it doesn’t mean anything. If Valentine can shoot the way he did before he got injured he can help the bulls second unit a lot.

I keep coming to this thread hoping he's been cleared for 5-5.

Ok you have a point. If he’s just a vet min three point specialist, like an Eric Piatkowsky, so be it. It’s not like you ever really lose your shot.
