great night for basketball, got the bulls vs bucks, good to get us the best in the east, albeit a preseason game, but still can see if our starters can at least compete 1st and 3rd quarters.

also ready to see zion play tonight as well.

It's pretty sweet that basketball is back. This is the first year in recent memory we can reasonably expect an entertaining, competitive team. In no particular order, what could make this year a good one:

(1) Competing for the playoffs
(2) Not having "competing for the playoffs" terminally gimp our lottery odds
(3) Zach and Lauri taking steps toward or into all-star status
(4) Learning what the young guns - WCJ, Coby and possibly Gafford - give you.
(5) Seeing young players supported capable, non-asshat veterans
(6) A non-milquetoast coach
(7) No Felicio

I've already told my wife I'm not putting the kids to bed tonight. This will require several nights of good night stories and other forms of happy servitude. It's worth it.

These Zenni specs are all buffed up and ready to watch.

Lol i did the same... wifey putting the kids down for bed tonight! Im excited to watch the game... two players im most curious to watch progress this year are Coby and WCJ - i think Coby is going to end up looking like a steal but will probably be up and down this year.. WCJ we just need our guy to get and stay healthy so we know what we have

Last year, I saw most of the games bulls in the games for the 1st and 3rd qtrs but everytime the bench came, we were down by 10pts to 15pts before the starters came back in. Our bench was basically g-league and probably one of THE WORST in the NBA last year.

I will be super excited for the first 5 minutes and then partially interested until about halftime. But this is the first step towards real games so let's get it out of the way!

It's like we just can't get rid of seeing felicio...

I think I just puked in my mouth. Dunn and Felicio. We tanking again right.

Felicio is literally hiding on the Bull's roster. He wouldn't be in the NBA if it weren't for that.

Must...refrain from over reacting to preseason games (at least until preseason game #3).

I'm excited to see the new guys Coby, Sato and Thad and how they look in live action. Bummer about WCJ, but if we can make it to opening night with our core guys healthy and playing it'll be a minor miracle.

Starting Felicio is foolish. His ineptitude makes it near impossible to evaluate the play of the players on the floor with him. And we know that he will not play in the regular season except in an emergency. I'd rather start Thad or Lauri at the 5. Or Gafford for Christ's sake.

Starting Felicio along with Dunn sort of makes me think that they are setting up Dunn to fail, or at least be labeled as not-starter worthy.

Felicio single handedly sucks the joy out of the preseason opener.

He's not an NBA player.

Because of the injuries, I've been struggling to get an overview.

But Doug's detailed notes from the scrimmage helped a lot.

It appears that Zach, Lowery, OPJ, Sato and Valentine are set to light up some scoreboards this season.

But we also have a deep and talented bench to fill in the gaps on both offense and defense.

So, I think that I'm really going to enjoy watching this team.

Felicio. Good god. What a way to crush my enthusiasm.
