I listen to ESPN 1000 every day during work, and Kap keeps saying today that there will be meaningful change in the front office according to sources close to the team that he knows.

And this time, they won't just hire someone they know. Michael will apparently go outside the org and interview new voices.

Now I guess we can believe it when we see it, but if true that is absolutely GREAT news.

How much does Kaplan know versus guess? I have no idea of his credibility, since I don't listen to his show.

He's well connected in Chicago sports. He's not someone that just says stuff often.

Remember, we're talking about the Bulls ownership.

They are helpless to run a profit motivated organization without people that they trust.

Does he consider firing Gar, and only Gar, meaningful? Because l don't. Gotta hope for more than that, but I'll believe it when I see it.

They have to fire gar and pax they have been making critical errors for the last 5 - 10 years. Enough already.

I would think they'd keep Pax, and let the new GM take the blame for next coach (assuming he replaces Kingpin)

I'd take a full week off of work and just run the streets of Chicago in joy if this ever were to happen. No chance though, he's too smart to come here and Reinsfdorf probably doesn't even know his name. I expect Gar to get the axe, Paxson to stay maybe a title change, a new stooge who's a yes man to replace Gar and little to no change in overall team building philosophy.

Unfortunate that this franchise has endured about 5 rebuilds since the end of the 98 Championship season.

I don't think he's leaving Toronto unless you offer him an insane amount of money. That's not happening here.

Nobody here should complain if we have a 6th rebuild as long as we have a completely new front office that is actually talented, smart, good at selling and can build a good team below them.

With competent personnel in the right positions that can identify a vision for this organization will be a start in the right direction. I would not be bothered at all.

I'd think letting the new GM (or whatever the leader is) see now things are running and evaluating the current regime the rest of the year would be valuable. There are likely good people employed right now. Let the new executive come in and evaluate the culture, employees and players BEFORE the offseason.

I don't think there are any benefits. The Reinsdorfs really like Gar and Pax. Both personally and as far as how they manage the team to squeeze out dollars while deflecting fan interest towards the 2047 plan. They are likely going to give it until the end of the year to see if things turn around.

Just saying, it's hard to think of an org that's done a worst job with 3 tank drafts (17-19) and multiple all-stars (14-16).

They've just made an impressive list of players who are out (or soon to be out) of the league the past few years.

I thought that starting with the Butler trade, the organization was starting to turn it around. I was wrong. They wanted to trade for Wiggins before Taylor saved them. I couldn't imagine how screwed Chicago would be with Wiggins on a max instead of Lavine. The Boylen hire was more about them being controlling than anything. Their free agency haul was disappointing.

The team needs a full reboot again and they are starting with virtually no assets. It might take a new GM a looooooooong time to fix this.
