I like this kid's game. He's only 22 and can ball. If we're trading Lauri, it can't hurt to have a legit center on the roster, since Wendell's athleticism allows him to play PF. Even if Lauri stays, we need another guy who can push or out play Gafford.

I like Hartenstein as a depth pickup too, I think he's solid/has potential, but as has been said, Wendell is a C only imo, Gafford is obviously only a C, and then we have Kornet and Felicio too. Doesn't make sense to use a roster spot on him.

I think Hart can make WCJ expendable, always been a big fan of him.
Him, Gafford, and Felicio is more than enough to cover the entire center minutes.
Trade WCJ for someone like Mikal Bridges (also trade White and #7 for Ball) and the roster is

Lauri
Hart

Give Lavine one more chance as number 1 under AK.

I really hope he gets another chance, but I agree that it doesn't make much sense here. Didn't really understand why the Spurs signed Tyler Zeller over him, though.

Yes, and the sooner Wendell realizes that, the better. He doesn't have the foot speed to defend PFs on the perimeter, and he's not nearly a good enough shooter to justify the role on offense. Could he improve on both of these well enough to become a PF? Possibly, but I'd put the chances of that happening under 2%.

No more Centers please, unless it is an obvious upgrade from Carter. This team needs wings !!

This board has some weird request. Carter is way better than this guy. I’ve seen this guy play a lot. Hell I’ll take Gafford over him.
