Detroit would never in a million years accept SGA+6 for the top pick in this yr's draft lol. If they actually did that, then Stern should come back from the dead & force the scum bag Gores to sell that franchise

The upsetting part for 'Stones fans, is that the Gores might actually bite. They are that dumb & that incompetent. Arguably the worst ownership in the NBA

There's a lot of playoff teams at the end of the first round that need some PG depth (Lakers, Nuggets, Hawks, Clippers, Nets, Suns, Sixers, Jazz). I would be shocked if all those teams pass on Cooper who could theoretically steal some reserve minutes.

As a side note, I'd love to see us try to trade Coby White for Davion Mitchell. We need defense, and having a guy nicknamed "Off Night" seems like it would bode well for us.

I've seen a lot of "wish-list" names mentioned, names that will no longer be available at #38. Nice players, but not in the pool of guys the Bulls will actually have a chance to take. With that, I'm looking at Kessler Edwards, Joel Ayayi, Isiah Todd and Herb Jones as "best available" players who can still be there at #38. Not necessarily need-based, since at 38, it's unrealistic to be looking for a need-based player, and I'd go best available player.

Any chance we can trade into the first round? It seems like there are a lot of solid prospects there that an help us. I'm noot sure that he'll be the best player in this draft but I think Jalen Green has "it". Rooting hard for the kid.

New http://www.tankathon.com/mock_draft has us getting Preston at 38. Wieskamp, Thor, and Todd all on the board.

I’d be happy with any of those 4.

Dang this Preston kid really is "we have LaMelo Ball at home." He even has a terrible looking jumpshot.

He reminds me of Denzel without the shooting. But hey that's why he's a second rounder, I guess.

Whoever the Bulls pick I hope they end up being a good NBA player, but it's the 2nd round so I don't expect much.

Yeha, I would really think Nets would prefer a really good vet than a late fir. t. Even a one year vet like Thad bc they got a lot of pressure to make it work and win next year.

I'd think Thad's versatility and loads of playoff experience would be pretty big get for Nets. He can play a small ball five for stretches, but he can also play most minutes at an important forward spot (Durant/Harden/Irving and Thad is pretty damn balanced with just about any rim-running center).

I would have thought after his horrendous playoffs Joe Harris would be out. But at very least, he shouldn't be starting, maybe he can find his grove again as a 6th man.

The proposed trade you got makes sense imo, obviously Nets still just need some bodies for practice so moving up some in the 4th is a minimal but useful move.

I'd love to see this so much! 27 is a good spot for us and our needs in draft; I'm thinking our needs in draft are just to supplement FA plans. Drafting an older prospect that doesn't have much ceiling on flashy game-changing things like scoring and playmaking, but is more NBA ready on some x-factor traits (specifically defense, low turnovers, decent mid-range/3P shot ... either either the Forward spot or PG). The better older prospects usually fall into 20s. But also maybe some young prospects drop to 27; it's a great place:

Miles McBride would be great, if he fell just a few.
Ayo would be a fair get around there with some bench offense potential and size
Jared Butler or Bones Hyland falling would be a gift too!

But they can't just absorb Thad's 14 million salary. And they don't have matching salary to send back. Unless the Bulls take back DAJ, but he has an extra year and sucks, so that would be a quick no from the Bulls.

They could sign and trade Dinwiddie for Thad, but Dinwiddie is on the lower end of point guards available I'd want.

If he's on Denver's radar he may be on AK's too. He seems skilled and crafty out there.

Lithuanian guard Arnas Velička has no allusions to grand draft expectations, he just wants a shot at playing in the NBA.

"We're going to see [where I end up], but I'm looking for a two-way contract," Velička said in his press conference Tuesday.

There hasn't been a lot of buzz around Velička during the predraft workout sessions around the NBA, but he could be a player who teams will covet for two-way contracts and Summer League. The Nuggets have an extensive track record of finding unheralded prospects and turning them into useful rotation players. Last season, Markus Howard followed a similar path and became an impact player for Denver in the playoffs. The team is well-known for spotting international talent and has a well-known former Lithuanian basketball star in Martynas Pocius in the front office.

Velička, who last starred for Löwen Braunschweig, hopes he can showcase his game in the best basketball league in the world.

"I like to run the team, get everyone touches and make everyone happy," he said.

So our pick to ORL ended up being Franz Wagner. Who is exactly who I thought the Bulls would have picked under Pax if we kept the pick.

I'll take him on the Bulls with a two way contract.
