Pels should trade Ingram in the offseason and build properly around Zion.

Ingram for Suggs?

On a side note, Victor Oladipo's career is in an uninterrupted nosedive -

1) Played 9 games for Indy, while publicly complaining and seeking a trade
2) Traded to Houston, missed 9 games while at Houston and wasn't all that great when he did play
3) Traded to Miami, has missed 3 of 7 games while at Miami, couldn't make shots in the four games that he did play, and now isn't accompanying the team on its road trip

Yikes.

Would you trade Suggs for Ingram?

Ingram is a #2 who worked out, he is a borderline All Star. In theory then he should be worth a #3, where Suggs is currently projected. But drafts don't work like that, the draft picks are like cars, they lose value the moment they leave the showroom. I don't see teams trading a #3 pick to get Ingram.

I don't think it's out of the question. We were thinking Lavine could get back a to pick.

That would be crazy. With Zion's weight and knee issues, they need an insurance policy in case he goes down, and right now Ingram is it. Sure they don't have any chemistry when they play together, but that's why the Pels should stagger them a lot more.

Ingram should be moved to a clear 2nd banana role. That's a problem, though - in his own mind he's still #1 option and a borderline superstar.

teams don't take players that high in the draft in the hopes that they become a borderline all-star, though. it's particularly not something to get excited about when you end up having to max out the guy
the donald, always unpopular, did worse in EVERY state in 2020. and by a greater margin in red states! 50 independently-run elections, none of them rigged

Yep. Much of the value of Top Three picks is the chance of landing a unicorn.

The same depleted Raptors team that we beat just scored 87 first half points (against Cleveland), on 71% shooting. Go figure.

Pels have not done a great job building around Zion. I don't think Hayes was a great pick in 2019 with shooters like Herro and Cam Johnson still on the board. They then trade for Adams which remains a head scratcher. I also don't love the Van Gundy hire. Then there's Ingram whose ceiling likely caps out at fringe all-star. I agree they should try and ship him to the highest bidder this summer.

Luckily they do have a good amount of draft assets to play with in the coming years.
