This feels like one of those games the old Bulls screw up games. Team is playing well, seemingly easy opponent, and then blown out by 15+.

Let’s see how the new coaching staff handles this.

Little early for a must win, but if this team has aspirations of being better than 30 or so wins tonight is a must win.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

Alright Lauri lovers - I want to see how he pops back into the line-up.

I'm ready for all 3 scenarios:

1. I'm wrong and he shoots lights out, the defense doesn't miss a beat, and we blow out OKC, cause Lauri pours 20+ pts against less experienced PFs - plays good defense and cleans the glass.

2. He bricks and plays like ass, and excuses come out that he needs a couple games to get his rhythm back.

3. He scores his usual 14-20 points, and it really makes no difference, cause he gives it up on the other end, and the game is closer than it should be against a tank team on a losing streak.

You shouldn't either. You're a renowned but fair Lauri critic.

I like the quote- it makes me chuckle. And it was/is pretty much true.

I'll take the bait. How about we continue to take it all game by game and just enjoy finally watching our Bulls play some basketball this evening. Though hoping the Bulls defense doesn't miss a beat is setting the bar really low. I like the offense the Bulls have show this season, but the defense has been cringe.

I mean, he's practiced like once in the past 2 weeks, so I'm expecting him to be rusty and to take a few games to play back into a rhythm and mesh with the team, but hey, let's just crucify the guy if he doesn't dominate immediately.

You complain about the controversy around Lauri, then properly try to restart it.

I think one person said the Bulls are better without Lauri, yet here we are.

Been a while since I saw someone complain about an honest-to-god green font post... yet here we are. 8-)

Anyway - one person? Nah. This narrative is very much alive right now and gathering speed. All the tremendous moral victories on the road trip kickstarted a weird "Is Markkanen expendable?" movement. Its adherents think that since we achieved said moral victories with either an old guy or a gimpy guy playing the 4 — and with Lauri having once again proved that he's not durable by letting Wendell roundhouse kick him in the calf — it's only right that Markkanen should have to fight to regain his spot in the starting lineup.

We need this win. We should get this win if 2 out Lauri, Porter and White have strong games. I’m at the point where I just expect Zach to bring it.

I really hope Lauri keeps it going and drop 20+ will good 3 point shooting. We need him to be consistent.

We can bench Carter now if he stinking it up with Lauri available to play the 5. Porter and Thad can play 4.

It's more than 1 person but no more than a handful or so of people with obvious anti-Lauri agendas. And to be honest you seem to be the opposite; pro-Lauri, anti-everyone else.

Why is PWill out of the starting lineup? Unleashing him on the bench?

I am sorry. You must have taken my post to mean I was going to entertain the argument yet again.
